Book reviews fro books read May 1st-16th

I have read more books in the first half of May than I did in all of April. For the first time in a while, I did not have ARCs, so I was just following my mood. I read new recent releases and six books from my TBR. Honestly I loved them all. The best thing about following a mood is getting to read a variety of things. It has been a really fun month so far. Check my reviews and add some books to your TBR. Until next time, happy reading. High Heat: A MMF Baseball Novella #MMF #Novella #Sports Written in first person from Darcy’s POV, this quick, steamy read is a standalone and ends with a HEA. I love everything this author writes.  At times it is truly poetic. I loved how Darcy believes in their baseball ability. I really loved how she is able to see the closeness and unspoken communication ability they have with each other that makes them special on the field.  I adored how Cash and Sawyer are together: tender, protective, and hot.  Darcy is a lucky girl.  ...

Book reviews for books read January 1st-9th

Well, we are nine days into a new year and I have managed to read two books- both ARCs. The world is more than a little crazy. My personal life has been in turmoil. Everything feels like it's falling apart. Occasionally, I can focus enough to escape. Both of these books made me laugh and smile. Both of these books made me feel lighter in dark times. I appreciate these authors for creating these stories  more than I can say. They beamed some light into my life. You should read them. Until next time, I hope we all manage to find some more light and some hope for a brighter future. Book reviews for books read December 1st-8th

This month I have read two ARCs so far and caught up on a book that I had to opt out of ARC reading before it's release. They were all fantastic! Check my reviews and add these books to your TBR. You won't regret it. All This Time (Blossom Peak #1)  by Harlow James #BrothersBestFriend #ForcedProximity #FriendsToLovers #SecondChance #Sports #SmallTown Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this first book in a new series can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. Laney and Fletcher had feelings for each other in high school that never went anywhere before events changed each of them and their chances for a relationship. Twelve years later, in the weeks leading to a friend’s wedding, they are forced together as best man and maid of honor for wedding planning. Laney has harbored so much hurt and anger over the past events and toward Fletcher. When they finally cleared the air, it was like breathing again-even as a reader. Fletcher has always held ba...

Book reviews for books read in November 2025

November flew by and I felt like I was getting a little of my reading groove back. I did a little mood reading, finding comfort in shifters, some erotica novellas, and a cozy why choose reread. I also read four ARCs- three of which were holiday romances. My reads this month also included a total of four new-to-me authors.  I saw a post that Laurann Dohner was battling a recent diagnosis of colon cancer. That is what my hubby has been fighting since the end of January this year. I picked up her Nightwind Pack series in solidarity and support, and I really enjoyed them. Her co-author on that series, Kele Moon, was also a new-to-me author. I read my first book by Roxie Ray after seeing numerous Facebook ads that kept grabbing my attention. I adored the concept of a neurodiverse werewolf and she really delivered. The novel was fun, sassy, and everything I hoped it would be. I also picked up "Stuck on Them" by Maya Nicole for the same reason. As I started reading it felt familia...

Book reviews for books read September 21st-30th

This review post is late due to a family emergency that happened about ten days ago now. I feel like I am finally getting my self together a little bit today and was able to put this together finally. During the last week of the month, I read one ARC, one book for book club, and three smutty novellas. Check out my reviews and add so books to your TBR today. My month in review. September turned out to be a good reading month for me. Most of the ARCs that I read that released in September, I actually read in August. That freed up some time to read from my TBR and finish two reading challenges. During the last week of the month, I finished the A to Z reading challenge. Earlier this month, I completed the B.A.N.G. Book Club reading challenge. I also took this as an opportunity to read new-to-me authors and fit in several novellas. Out of the 23 books I read and the 2 I did not finish, I read 19 new-to-me authors! That has to be a record for me. There is a place for smutty insta-love ...
