Book reviews for books read in November 2025

November flew by and I felt like I was getting a little of my reading groove back. I did a little mood reading, finding comfort in shifters, some erotica novellas, and a cozy why choose reread. I also read four ARCs- three of which were holiday romances. My reads this month also included a total of four new-to-me authors.  I saw a post that Laurann Dohner was battling a recent diagnosis of colon cancer. That is what my hubby has been fighting since the end of January this year. I picked up her Nightwind Pack series in solidarity and support, and I really enjoyed them. Her co-author on that series, Kele Moon, was also a new-to-me author. I read my first book by Roxie Ray after seeing numerous Facebook ads that kept grabbing my attention. I adored the concept of a neurodiverse werewolf and she really delivered. The novel was fun, sassy, and everything I hoped it would be. I also picked up "Stuck on Them" by Maya Nicole for the same reason. As I started reading it felt familia...

Book reviews for books read July 20th-31st

Another month down. This month I read a total of 18 books. That included several novellas and one box set that I counted as one. I read one ARC during this last stretch of the month by a new-to-me author. I also read three books off  my TBR. It has been a hectic month and my words are gone at the moment. So I will wish everyone a Happy August. Let's read some fantastic books. Property of Blade (Kings of Anarchy MC: Alaska #1)  by Kathleen Kelly ARC: Release Date- 08/04/2025 #OppositesAttract #MC #Paranormal #Shifters #ARC I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book. This is a first-in-series- book set in a larger multi-author world of the Kings of Anarchy. Written in first person from an alternating multiple POV, this can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. This was my first book by this author, and the first book I have read in the KoA world. I can tell you now that I am going to continue to devour this ...

Book reviews for books read July 7th-19th

Happy weekend! My daughter visited for a week and I spent several days reading 6 novellas in the Berserkers Saga which was a perfect thing to read while she was here. I also finished the Tsenturion Warriors series finally. I love those big gold aliens. Be careful about swiping right for abduction, LOL. And I was able to read an ARC of Emily Silver's next release. This book was written as a special book for RARE London this year and will release in August. It was a thoroughly enjoyable start to a new series. I want to go back and finish the rest of the Berserker series and I am hoping to really get through some books on my TBR over the next couple months. Stay tuned for a lot of reviews as I do that. Until next time, happy reading. Not In the Plans (London Lightning #1) by Emily Silver ARC: Release Date-08/08/2025 #AgeGap #OneNightStand #OppositesAttract #Sports #Workplace #ARC She had him from “Hello”. Book reviews for books read July 1st-6th

This first week of July, I read two ARCs. Then I read a few novellas. I finished reading Swati M.H.'s backlist with Momcom Vacation. I read another Jess Bryant book on my list. I had forgotten how much I love male-male romance. Jess has reminded me beautifully.  Then I decided to have give in to my ADHD and read some stuff outside of my normal comfort zone. I kept seeing posts on social media about Unhinged. I was curious. When I looked and saw that it was in KU and only 80 pages, I decided to sate my curiosity and give it a try. You will see in my review that I as pleasantly surprised. I seriously admire the creativity necessary to make a door into a hero worth loving. Then I fell down a smutty rabbit hole. I have also been seeing a lot of hotwife and freeuse recs online. I had never read any, but I had picked up a few on the last Stuff Your Kindle day. They too were very short and I decided...why not? Though it's not something I would tackle in real life, I read a lot of t...

Book reviews for books read June 1st-14th

Happy weekend!  It has been a busy couple of weeks but I managed to read 6 books. Two ARCs, and four books from my TBR. I have been working on reading the backlist of Swati M.H., and managed to read all but one of her books prior to assisting her at the HEA Reader Event in Indianapolis on June 7th. Then I joyfully read two ARCs, both over 400 pages. Then I needed something a little different. I needed to break away from traditional, contemporary romance and was able to fit in a paranormal rom com and a monster romance. Now I am back to ARCs.  There are so many good books to read. I am exceedingly grateful to the authors who have written and are writing books that suck me into their imaginary worlds. Thank you authors for giving me a way to escape reality for a little while and guaranteeing me that happy ending. Till next time, happy reading.
