A Small Town, Friends-to-Lovers, Forbidden Love Standalone Romance from USA Today and Amazon #1 Bestselling Author, Laura Pavlov.

Gracie Reynolds and I have been best friends since we were kids.
She’s smart, kind, funny, beautiful—and one of the best parts of my life.
When Gracie walks into a room, people notice.
I always notice.

But when she moved across the world with a guy I despised, it felt like I’d lost a piece of myself.
I missed her in ways I still can’t explain.

Now she’s back— and she’s crashing at my place for a couple of months while she figures things out.
She’s single and ready for a fresh start.
I’ve always had her back, and that hasn’t changed.

What has changed?
The way that she looks at me.
The way I can’t stop looking at her.
So, when Gracie makes me a once in a lifetime proposition--obviously, I'm all in.
But this isn't your average gray area--it's a full-on, sweat-inducing, five chili pepper detour we never meant to take.

Gracie has big dreams though, and I’d never be the guy to hold her back.
Even if all I want…is to be the reason that she stays.

Bad Boy Era by Amy Daws

Buy Link: https://geni.us/BadBoyEra-All

Rule #1 on the Everly Fletcher Matchmaking Manifesto…Never fall for your best friend’s grumpy brother.

Everly is the matchmaking mastermind of her family, but her own love life is a bit of a flop.

Back from four years in Dublin, she’s ready for a quiet summer on Fletcher Mountain helping launch her aunt’s animal rescue center—until Conri “Wolf” Reilly shows up.

Wolf is her college roommate’s infuriating twin brother. He’s brooding, Irish, and college rugby’s resident bad boy with thighs that could crack a watermelon.

His red card reputation has trashed his rugby prospects…until a training camp in Denver comes calling. As a favor, Everly reluctantly gets Wolf a place to stay if he volunteers at the rescue center.

Now Everly finds herself working and living next door to the Irish tattooed grump who treats her like a nuisance—but looks at her like he could press her up against a hay bale until they forget their own names.

Wolf swore he came to America to fix his image, not fall for his sister’s best friend, but the more time he spends with Everly, the harder it is to keep his distance.

Perhaps Everly’s in her bad boy era…or maybe Fletcher Mountain has its own matchmaking plans.

Blurb:

Steel Magnolias meets Schitt’s Creek with the heart of This is Us.

At fifty, Hope Hall has done everything right. She earned a PhD, built a career, and held her marriage together with determination and stubborn denial.

When her life publicly unravels, Hope returns to her hometown in Texas, and the loud, loving, opinionated family who never quite understood her. Surrounded by her four sisters, who make everything bigger, messier, and usually a public spectacle, she expects the chaos, the old grudges, and small-town rivalries that always seem to involve toilet paper and bail money.

What she doesn’t expect is June—her wild, fearless sister, who has spent a decade giving cancer the middle finger. But you can only run from the devil for so long, and what’s coming for June may be the thing Hope’s family can’t survive.

Told with sharp humor, messy love, and the kind of honesty that sneaks up and wrecks you, The Summer That Changed Us is a deeply moving, laugh-through-the-tears story about sisters, second chances, and what it really means to show up when it matters most.

*This book contains themes of terminal illness, grief, and the death of a sibling.

Blurb:

With their rugged good looks and Southern charm, it’s obvious why Cash Barlow and Sawyer Knight are America’s favorite baseball players. As the sports reporter sent to document their rise to fame, I was hoping our intimate interviews would catapult my career. Instead, I found myself being seduced…by both of them.

It’s not like they’re easy to resist. I’m spending every moment of the day with two hunky baseball gods polite enough to say “yes ma’am” and filthy enough to make me blush. And the more I study them – the more I notice the furtive glances and lingering touches – the more I realize that Cash and Sawyer aren’t only best friends. But when I promise to keep their secret, they reveal another of their own.

They don’t just want each other. And when these star baseball players want something, they get it. And now they want me.

But each time the three of us give into temptation, we’re breaking rules that threaten all of our careers. Should we risk it all for our unconventional love? Or will this baseball season end with three broken hearts?

High Heat is a spicy MMF poly novella (20,000 words) with a guaranteed Happily Ever After. Read in public at your own risk!

🌷Family Feud
🌷Wrong side of the tracks
🌷Opposites attract
🌷Southern Small town
🌷RomCom

➡️ Blurb:
Heaven’s most angelic good girl is about to fall for the ultimate fallen angel.
Mary London Winthrop has spent her entire life being Heaven’s golden child—perfectly polished, the grace of a Southern belle, and positively bored out of her halo. She’s ready to trade her wings for something a little…devilish.
Enter Rhett Price: single dad from the other side of the tracks, cowboy hat on a motorcycle, and the kind of trouble Mary London’s daddy always warned her about. He’s everything a Winthrop shouldn’t want—especially since Winthrops and Prices have been sworn enemies since Heaven was founded. Think Montagues and Capulets, but with more church potlucks and passive-aggressive town council meetings.
Hiring Rhett as her contractor for her new project? Risky. Falling for him? Absolutely forbidden. Dating him in secret while the whole town watches her every move? Pure romantic chaos.

Pinch Hitter by Stephanie Rose

Blurb:

Lee Orrico is stuck. The family he depended on to care for his daughter since he lost his wife is moving on and moving out. Having his best friend Stella become his live-in nanny while he works as the team chiropractor for the Brooklyn Bats seems like the right idea. Until the combination of close quarters and cozy nights ignites an attraction that Lee never saw coming.

After years on the road in a job she never liked and a messy breakup, Stella Parker is ready to come back to Brooklyn to make it a real home for herself, not just a pit stop. Moving in with Lee to help care for his adorable daughter is the perfect temporary solution…except it means moving in with the man she’s always been secretly in love with.

Her once-forbidden love for her best friend was always just a one-sided fantasy, but the lingering touches, long looks, and almost kisses make her start to wonder if this love isn’t so unrequited anymore.

The passion between Lee and Stella is undeniable. But Lee isn’t sure he can love again – he barely survived the loss of it the first time.

Still, the heart he didn’t think would beat for anyone else… wants Stella.

And Stella has always wanted Lee. The question is, does Lee really love her back?

Or is she just a pinch hitter for the real love of his life?

Maple & Moonlight by Daphne Elliot

Blurb:

As a single mom rebuilding my life from scratch, I don’t need help. And I  definitely don’t need the attention of a six-foot-three maple farmer with a beard and a hero complex who looks at me like I’m a problem he didn’t sign up for.

My landlord is broad-shouldered, permanently unimpressed, and entirely too comfortable telling me when I’m wrong. I think he’s grumpy, rigid, and overprotective. He thinks I’m chaos in Crocs.

Falling for Josh Lawrence was never part of the plan.

But then he starts showing up.

For my son when he’s overwhelmed.

For my daughters when they need someone steady.

And for me when my hands won’t stop shaking.

I didn’t come to Vermont looking for a protector. I don’t need rescuing. But somewhere between harvest festivals, pumpkin canoe races, and quiet mornings in the sugar shack, the man I swore was just an annoyance becomes my safe place.

And when my dangerous past resurfaces and threatens the new life I’ve built, the grumpy maple farmer next door becomes my fiercest protector, ready to stand by my side while I fight for my family.

Because it turns out maple farmers are a lot like their trees: quiet, stubborn, and surprisingly sweet when the pressure builds.

In the Friend Zone (Mile High Stallions #2)

by Christina Hovland

Get your copy → christinahovland.com/itfz

Emily Sinclair lives by the Rule of Three: work hard, stay organized, and never, under any circumstances, look at Finn Taylor as anything other than her brother’s best friend.

Finn has always been her safe harbor. The late-night phone call. The permanent plus-one. The only person who knows she’d rather temper chocolate than draft a legal brief. He is also the pro football star whose career just slammed into a brick wall of a humiliating season-ending injury.

When Finn’s confidence hits rock bottom, Emily does what she does best. She makes a plan. She will help him through rehab, and in return, he will help her transform a dusty storefront into the chocolate shop of her dreams.

Simple.

Except somewhere between physical therapy sessions and renovation dust, the lines they spent a decade drawing start to blur. Finn is not just offering tool-belt advice anymore. He is looking at her with a hunger that has nothing to do with truffles.

Breaking her overprotective brother’s one rule was supposed to be the hard part.

But as the friend zone disappears in the rearview mirror, Emily realizes the real danger is not losing her heart.

It is risking the one relationship she has never been able to live without.

Because if this goes wrong, she does not just lose a boyfriend.

 She loses Finn.

Book reviews for books read October 20th-31st

I read two arcs in the second part of October. They were both wonderful reads. Obviously, my personal life has impacted my reading as I only finished 5 books this month. I can't tell you when the last time was that I read so little. The positive part was all of the books I read this month were very good. Until next time, happy reading! Can't Believe You Came (Mile High Matched #5)  by Christina Hovland ARC: Release Date- 10/24/2025 #CinnamonRollHero #OppositesAttract #ARC I am voluntarily writing this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book. It is written in third person, can be read as a standalone, and ends with a HEA. I have loved this series from the beginning. It is wonderful to finally see the last Dvornakov get their HEA. Zach is a cinnamon roll hero to love. He falls first, fast, and hard for Piper. Piper, who is type A personified, does her best to control every situation she is in and Zach is an outlier. His calm and steady presence c...

Book reviews for books read September 21st-30th

This review post is late due to a family emergency that happened about ten days ago now. I feel like I am finally getting my self together a little bit today and was able to put this together finally. During the last week of the month, I read one ARC, one book for book club, and three smutty novellas. Check out my reviews and add so books to your TBR today. My month in review. September turned out to be a good reading month for me. Most of the ARCs that I read that released in September, I actually read in August. That freed up some time to read from my TBR and finish two reading challenges. During the last week of the month, I finished the A to Z reading challenge. Earlier this month, I completed the B.A.N.G. Book Club reading challenge. I also took this as an opportunity to read new-to-me authors and fit in several novellas. Out of the 23 books I read and the 2 I did not finish, I read 19 new-to-me authors! That has to be a record for me. There is a place for smutty insta-love ...

Book reviews for books read July 7th-19th

Happy weekend! My daughter visited for a week and I spent several days reading 6 novellas in the Berserkers Saga which was a perfect thing to read while she was here. I also finished the Tsenturion Warriors series finally. I love those big gold aliens. Be careful about swiping right for abduction, LOL. And I was able to read an ARC of Emily Silver's next release. This book was written as a special book for RARE London this year and will release in August. It was a thoroughly enjoyable start to a new series. I want to go back and finish the rest of the Berserker series and I am hoping to really get through some books on my TBR over the next couple months. Stay tuned for a lot of reviews as I do that. Until next time, happy reading.
