  Hello!  I can't believe it is April.  I was home less than 24 hours from 3/14 till 4/2.  I am feeling the effects of a lot of miles, a lot of fun, and a lot of people-ing.  I visited my dad and family in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.  My oldest daughter and I road tripped to Ellicott City, Maryland for a weekend at Charm City Romanticon.  I flew home (briefly after my flight was delayed) only to turn around for a solo road trip to Readers Take Denver and back this last weekend.  I will be making a separate post on the signings.  I just need to get my pictures and thoughts in order.   My Brother's Forbidden Friend (Greene Family #9)  by Piper Rayne ARC: Release Date- 10/04/2022 #BrothersBestFriend #SmallTown #FamilySeries #ARC 5 STARS This was the perfect couple to wrap the series. Book nine in the Greene Family series can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA.  That said, Chevelle and Cam appear in the other books of the series and readers will get the most enjoyment from reading the series in order.  It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV. I knew Chevelle and Cam would have a doozy of a story, yet I was unprepared for the emotion they made me feel.  Chevelle has had so much guilt over her mother’s death.   Cam has always been there and there have been many times when they antagonized each other.  They have some fabulous pranks on each other in this book that made me laugh out loud.   Happy weekend.  I read 4 and a half books this week.  Have you ever had one of those moments when you are reading a book and you are not getting into it, but you know it is you not the book?  That was me this week.  So I took a break.  I stopped halfway through the book.  And I picked up something completely different from my recent reads.  I had added the Alien Bride Lottery book to my TBR on a whim after seeing an ad, reading the blurb, and laughing out loud.  So when I went to my TBR, there it was waiting: something completely different than what I have been reading.  And it was so perfect in breaking my funk,.   While waiting for the next round of ARCs to arrive, I used this week to get a jump on several monthly reading challenges and to finally read the Catherine Bybee book that has been sitting on my kindle for months since it released. I also finished the Nashville Fury series by Chelle Sloan with her wonderful surprise baby romance.  An Unexpected Distraction was available as a Kindle read & Listen title and I listened to the first half while spring cleaning before switching to the eBook to finish. The narration was very good and I never felt like I was missing anything (which is the biggest challenge I have with listening to an audiobook I have not read already).  I finally got back to the Ice Planet Barbarians after two years to meet a reading challenge requirement of Sci-Fi Romance.  I really missed that world and have already downloaded book 11 in the series.  Emily Silver's "Royal Reckoning" is the first in a series of three royal books and met another re...

  To say this was an incredible week of reading would be a massive understatement.  I read five ARCs and a bonus content novella to the Hockey Hotties series by Piper Rayne.  Speaking of Hockey Hotties: Warner and Imogen have a sweet and hot second chance tat forever in "Sneaking Around with #34."  Claire Kingsley released the sixth and final book in her Bailey Brothers series.  It was everything I could have wanted in a book and more.  I am so happy for her that it has been a wonderful release after the last year for her has been harder than I can imagine.  That she delivered a book full of hope, peace, and love after a year of grief and tragedy amazed me, made me cry, and leaves her talent unquestionable. Lena Hendrix has a new release which also begins a new series set on Redemption Ranch.  I loved the story of the cop and the criminal and the premise of a ranch run by agents for WITSEC.
