Book reviews or books read October 13th-19th

Happy Monday! I was out of town for the weekend and I am excited to bring you these reviews today. I read five books this week. Two were ARCs, and three were from my TBR to fulfill reading challenges. "Bear the Consequences" returned me to Rochelle Paige and the next book in her Fated Mates series after I left off way too long ago at the end of book three. It met a reading challenge requirement for a shifter romance and was a quick and fun read. I read "Wyld & Dirty" by J.A. Low. It was my first book by her and I really enjoyed it. It checked three boxes for me: rockstar romance, author from the Southern Hemisphere (she is Australian), and a book by an author I get to meet in Las Vegas next weekend. I also read "King's Crown" my Marie Johnston. This first in series book met the reading challenge of a book title starting with K for two different reading challenges.  The two ARCs I read were both excellent. If you haven't read a bi-awakening bo...

Book reviews from the week of July 2nd

Happy weekend!  I am headed to the mountains to do some off-roading and camping with my honey this weekend.   I read four books this week, one ARC, one reading challenge book, and two books from my TBR.  Sometimes I read so many contemporary romances in a row and I need something completely different before I read the next ARC.  Jess Bryant's Fated Mates series is the perfect palette cleanser for me and I worked two books in this week as part of my process.  Danika Bloom is a new author for me.  She reached out to me and asked if I had time to read and review her upcoming release.  I did and I am so glad I worked it in.  Witty writing and complex characters made an unforgettable story.  Finally I read a novella by Ember Davis.  Who doesn't love a steamy insta-love rock star romance?  I certainly did. I hope my reviews help you find a read or several to add to your TBR.  Have a wonderful week full of amazing books an...

Book reviews for the week of May 21st

It is a long holiday weekend in the US and the sun is shining here.  I am looking forward to eating some yummy food and enjoying the outdoors and a little reading while I spend time with the family. This week I was able to read three ARCs and three more books from the Stacy Reid rabbit hole I have fallen down recently.  The three arcs were all excellent.  There are some amazing new releases coming in the next month and I am so happy to have the privilege of reading early for some of them.  Stacy Reid delivers witty heroines in passionate stories.  I am definitely not done with her rabbit hole yet. I hope everyone out there is enjoying some time with their loved ones this weekend and these book reviews help you find some excellent new reads. I hope they help other readers find their next great read. #ReadingChallenge Comeback Hero (Redleg Security #3) by Jackie Walker ARC: Release Date-02/28/2023 #RomanticSuspense #Workplace #HealingLove #Bodyguard #ARC 4.5 STARS Book three of this series can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA.  It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV.  Readers should be aware that there are spoilers to other previous Redleg books in this third in series, so they can determine if they would rather read the series in order.  In addition, the author is conscientious and has a list of several potential triggers readers may want to be aware of prior to reading. Shep and Kr...
