Book reviews for books read September 21st-30th

This review post is late due to a family emergency that happened about ten days ago now. I feel like I am finally getting my self together a little bit today and was able to put this together finally. During the last week of the month, I read one ARC, one book for book club, and three smutty novellas. Check out my reviews and add so books to your TBR today. My month in review. September turned out to be a good reading month for me. Most of the ARCs that I read that released in September, I actually read in August. That freed up some time to read from my TBR and finish two reading challenges. During the last week of the month, I finished the A to Z reading challenge. Earlier this month, I completed the B.A.N.G. Book Club reading challenge. I also took this as an opportunity to read new-to-me authors and fit in several novellas. Out of the 23 books I read and the 2 I did not finish, I read 19 new-to-me authors! That has to be a record for me. There is a place for smutty insta-love ...

Book reviews for books read September 12th-20th

Happy weekend. This week I read two books from my TBR, five novellas, DNF'd one book, and completed the B.A.N.G. book Club 52 week reading challenge for the year. I read six new-to-me authors this week to continue of what seems to be a September theme for me this year.  That brings me to 16 new-to-me authors this month when I include the two books I did not finish. The two books from my TBR were both recent releases I have been wanting to read. I was not disappointed as Lyndsey and Susie always impress me. I also read books for the following challenge categories: A book set in Canada An academy romance A Thanksgiving romance A book I purchased in 2020 It was a really good reading week. Check out my reviews and add some more books to that TBR. Until next time, happy reading! The Categories. The completed chart. Book reviews for books read September 1st-11th

September is going by quickly. So far this month I have read one ARC, three other books from my TBR, and four novellas. (I scored a bunch of steamy novellas on a free insta-love romance day. I am enjoying reading those in the evening instead of starting a new book that will keep me up too late.) I also DNF'd my first book in a while. Amazingly, all nine books were by new-to-me authors! What an incredible start to a month, right? Funny story about the ARC: I have met J.R. Gray on several occasions at book signings and he has been on my list to read for a while. Because I like him as a person and his books sounded so good, I have signed up to promote many of his books as they release, knowing I would eventually get to read them too. The PR company he is using for this upcoming release emailed me that I could have an ARC (that I didn't sign up for) and after looking at my calendar, I realized I had time to read it! I have to say that happened to be the best decision I made all w...

Book reviews for books read December 23rd - 27th

Happy weekend!  We are almost to the end of 2024 and I have been wrapping up my reading challenges for the year.  I had set a goal off 200 books in Goodreads for the year and I was a little behind. The holidays are the perfect time for novellas and I read several over the past week to meet my reading goal. I also finished the B.A.N.G. Book Club Challenge this week. The hardest book on the list for me was a banned book. When looking for a book, I found either I had already read it, or it was honestly not something that interested me. I finally settled on an Alexa Riley novella with the thought that the author is banned on the 'Zon and it was a step dad romance. I read one ARC, one full-length novel, and seven novellas this week. Five of those were by new-to-me authors. Jessica Peterson's new release in the Lucky River Ranch series was fabulous and it melted me in all the best ways.  I fell down the monster romance rabbit hole in a big way. I am OBSESSED with the Arr...

Book reviews from the week of July 16th

Happy Weekend!  I read two ARCs, one read and listen book from my TBR, and then I fell down a rabbit hole with Sara Cate this week. I read an ARC by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde, and a Read & Listen through KU this week by Carly Phillips.  Then I read a Regency historical ARC by Mariah Stone. I have been reading a lot of ARCs that are contemporary or rom-com in nature lately.  I love them, but sometimes I need to break it up a bit.  Mariah Stone's historical was a good start, but I still needed a palette cleanser.   I met Sara Cate in Dallas earlier this year at Holidays with the Belles.  At that point I had only read one book of hers: a standalone that I really enjoyed.  I realized I had more books of hers on my kindle and I decided to enjoy book one of the Salacious Players Club for a palette cleanser.  I never expected to get sucked in to reading the whole series right now.  I think about the series even as I try to read ...
