Book reviews for books read May 1st-16th

I have read more books in the first half of May than I did in all of April. For the first time in a while, I did not have ARCs, so I was just following my mood. I read new recent releases and six books from my TBR. Honestly I loved them all. The best thing about following a mood is getting to read a variety of things. It has been a really fun month so far. Check my reviews and add some books to your TBR. Until next time, happy reading. High Heat: A MMF Baseball Novella #MMF #Novella #Sports Written in first person from Darcy’s POV, this quick, steamy read is a standalone and ends with a HEA. I love everything this author writes.  At times it is truly poetic. I loved how Darcy believes in their baseball ability. I really loved how she is able to see the closeness and unspoken communication ability they have with each other that makes them special on the field.  I adored how Cash and Sawyer are together: tender, protective, and hot.  Darcy is a lucky girl.  ...

Book reviews for books read September 12th-20th

Happy weekend. This week I read two books from my TBR, five novellas, DNF'd one book, and completed the B.A.N.G. book Club 52 week reading challenge for the year. I read six new-to-me authors this week to continue of what seems to be a September theme for me this year.  That brings me to 16 new-to-me authors this month when I include the two books I did not finish. The two books from my TBR were both recent releases I have been wanting to read. I was not disappointed as Lyndsey and Susie always impress me. I also read books for the following challenge categories: A book set in Canada An academy romance A Thanksgiving romance A book I purchased in 2020 It was a really good reading week. Check out my reviews and add some more books to that TBR. Until next time, happy reading! The Categories. The completed chart. This is the group site if you want to join and compete in challenges.  https://www.facebook.com/groups/946607852613605 Book Reviews: Reveal Me (The Beckett Brothe...

Book reviews for books read August 18th-31st

I can't believe we are at the end of August! It has been a crazy busy month on the home-front, but I managed to read seven more books from the 18th through the 31st. (I am starting another book today, of course, but I won't finish before midnight.) Of those seven, four were ARCs and two were new-to-me authors. Two were also novella length reads.  The ARCs were phenomenal. You really should add them to your list. I also read Mel Walker for the first time. He has been on my list for a long time. Grounds for Romance was such a cute romance read! I read it in an afternoon and it gave me all the feels. Check out my reviews and add some books to your TBR. Here's hoping for more fantastic reads in September. Until then, happy reading! Hero After Midnight (Gibson Hollow #0.5) by Kait Nolan #Prequel #BrothersBestFriend Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this prequel to a new series does end in a mild cliffhanger. It establishes the history between Alia and R...

Book reviews for books read August 1st - 17th

Hello! This has been a crazy month as the hubby has radiation appointments almost every day, multiple doctor appointments per week, and my paying job has required extra shifts this month. I still managed to read 6 books including 3 new to me authors so far this month. I also read 2 ARCs, which were both fantastic reads for me. Check out my reviews below and add some books to your TBR. Until next time, happy reading! Billionaire Romantic (New York Billionaires #4)  by Julie Capulet ARC: Release Date- 08/16/2025 #AgeGap #Billionaire #InstaLove #Virgin #ARC Wildest Dreams. Say Yes. I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book. Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. Romantic Noah finally finds his HEA with Lucky. He falls for her so quickly and he can’t stand to be apart from her. Lucky can’t believe Noah is real as he treats her right with countless O’s...

Book reviews for books read June 24th - 30th

June has been a crazy month. This last week I have been able to read an ARC, a book I had to pass on the ARC in April, two books from my TBR, and a reread of one of my favorites through read & listen. I honestly loved them all for different reasons.  One of the best things about romance is that there are so many sub-genres, tropes, and now micro tropes, that I never fail to find exactly what I need. This week I also read two new-to-me authors. One has been on my list for a while. The other was an impulse and a novella that came at the perfect time. Check out my reviews and add these to your list today. Until next time, happy reading. Somehow You Knew (Carrington Cove #5)  by Harlow James ARC: Release Date- 07/10/2025 #MoC #ForcedProximity #SmallTown #ARC I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book. Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. I can...
