Book reviews for books read March 8th-18th

It isn't quite the weekend, but we are leaving on Friday for a couple weeks and I will be effectively on vacation and out of the country. So here are the reviews of the books I have read in the past 10 days. I read three very different ARCs. All were fantastic. Check my reviews and add these to your TBR. The first 2 are available now and the third releases 3/20. Until next time, happy reading! The Heir (Belvedere #1) by Elodie Hart ARC: Release Date- 03/11/2026 #Billionaire #ARC I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance review copy of the book. This is the first book in a new series, can be read as a standalone, and ends with a HEA. Readers who have read the Alchemy series by this author will recognize Ivy as she gets her happy ending.  It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV. Ivy (24) works as a host at Alchemy while managing family dynamics that are heartbreaking. The author does an amazing job tackling the issues Ivy deals w...

Book reviews for books read in February 2026

February came and went in the blink of an eye. I read one ARC, and two new-to-me authors. I also mood read a monster romance by the fabulous Caroline Lee/Veronika Kane. I was able to attend the Wild & Windy West book signing in Phoenix where I met both Jade Dollston and Sara L. Hudson. They were both wonderful and I have special edition books on my shelf now to prove it. I was glad I was able to go to the signing. With the way the last 12 months have gone, that was never guaranteed. All four of these books were true gems and I can't believe I am almost to the end of the first week in March before getting this blog review post finished. I am very excited about getting back to the three series I started in February, but I will tell you that March and April are stacked with ARCs and I am just trying to keep up. Check my reviews. Add these books to your TBR. And until next time, happy reading! It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time  (Darling Springs #1) by Lauren Blakely A...

Book reviews for books read in November 2025

November flew by and I felt like I was getting a little of my reading groove back. I did a little mood reading, finding comfort in shifters, some erotica novellas, and a cozy why choose reread. I also read four ARCs- three of which were holiday romances. My reads this month also included a total of four new-to-me authors.  I saw a post that Laurann Dohner was battling a recent diagnosis of colon cancer. That is what my hubby has been fighting since the end of January this year. I picked up her Nightwind Pack series in solidarity and support, and I really enjoyed them. Her co-author on that series, Kele Moon, was also a new-to-me author. I read my first book by Roxie Ray after seeing numerous Facebook ads that kept grabbing my attention. I adored the concept of a neurodiverse werewolf and she really delivered. The novel was fun, sassy, and everything I hoped it would be. I also picked up "Stuck on Them" by Maya Nicole for the same reason. As I started reading it felt familia...

June has been a heck of a month. My husband has had 2 hospital admissions so far and we are only 23 days in. It has me off my groove a little bit. Beneath Highland Stars (Special Ops Scots #3)  by Kait Nolan ARC: Release Date- 06/20/2025 #EnemiesToLovers #ForcedProximity #RomanticSuspense #ARC I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book. Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this 3 rd book in series can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. Finn is the former Royal Marine who is happy-go-lucky, always joking, always charming- at least on the outside. Underneath he is serious, damaged, and feeling all of his emotions. Saoirse is the town vet and she and Finn have a sappy way of communicating as they try hard to convince themselves that their chemistry isn’t real. Once Sao...
