Book reviews for books read March 24th-31st

During the last week of the month, I managed to read four books. Two ARCs, a book club book, and an erotica book that I kept seeing on social media. Two of the authors were new-to-me authors. All were interesting reads. I am very excited to attend book club and hear the different takes on "Hello, Stranger" by Katherine Center. Jade West's "The Naughty List" was delightfully smutty. "Elderwood Sound" by Annie Dyer provided one of the most amazing series wrap books ever. I hate to leave Puffin Bay behind. "Changing the Play" by Emily Silver allowed Derek to have a full redemption from the guy we knew from previous books. It was a busy week personally and a wonderful week of reading.  Until next time, happy reading! Elderwood Sound (Puffin Bay #8) by Annie Dyer ARC: Release Date-04/01/2025 #Celebrity #FriendsToLovers #SmallTown #ARC This is written in first person from an alternating dual POV and ends with a HEA. Though Caleb and Zoey’s story ...

Book reviews from the week of January 7th

Happy weekend!  This week I read three ARCs and squeezed in another book off my kindle for a reading challenge requirement.  All four were the kind of books that will stay with me for quite a while.  I hope my reviews help you decide to add these to your TBR.  I'm going to keep this short this week.  I have a stack of other ARCs I need to read before next week.  Till next time, happy reading. Thoroughly Pucked (My Hockey Romance #3)  by Lauren Blakely ARC: Release Date- 01/11/2024 #WhyChoose #MFM #BrothersBestFriend #FlingToForever #Sports #RunawayBride #OneBed #ARC 5 STARS Book three in the series can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA.  It is written in first person from alternating multiple POV. Book reviews for the week of October 15th

Happy weekend!  This week I read two ARCs and a novella.  The ARCs were both wonderful. The novella was a quick read that was a pleasant surprise.  I am traveling and visiting with family right now, so that has been my priority this week.  Hug your loved ones. Read books that make you happy.  Live the life you have.  I hope my reviews give you some insight into these reads that brightened my week and build your TBR.  Until next time, happy reading. Yours To Forget (Dixon Creek Ranch #4) by Emily Silver ARC: Release Date 10/19/2023 #Sports #SecondChance #SmallTown #FamiySeries #OneBed #ARC 4.5 STARS Book four in the series can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA.   It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV. I have been waiting for Logan’s story.   I am so happy for him to finally have his HEA.   And after everything he has been thorough, I was thrilled that it was a low angst read for him to have hi...

Book reviews from the week of October 23rd

Caught Up With The Captain (Bad Boy Bakers #5)  by Kait Nolan ARC: Release Date- 10/28/2022 #SecondChance #SecretBaby #Military #SmallTown #ARC 5 STARS This novella is a part of the Bad Boy Bakers series but can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA.  It is written in third person from an alternating dual POV. I am so happy that Rebecca got her HEA.  As Jonah’s mom, she has been an important support to each of the characters in this series.  When her first love returns to town, things get interesting as he seeks a second chance at a future with her.  Her secret is revealed, and emotional moments happen as everyone comes to grips with the new reality. Rebecca has been a wonderful character throughout the series.  She is strong, and she has survived a lot of heartache to be the successful and complete person she is.  Grey is a wonderful hero.  He is an all-around good guy.  After retiring from the Navy, he returns to his ho...

Book reviews from the week of April 24th

This week was a full week of reading.  I read four full-length novels and five novellas. I was able to read an ARC of the upcoming "Greene Family Vacation" by Piper Rayne, which sets the stage for the rest of that series.  In addition to the ARC novella of the Greene Family, I fell down a bit of a historical fantasy hole as I read several of the novellas that are tied together in the Lore of the Lucius Ring.  I started at the end with Susan Stoker's book "The Guardian Mist" and ended up going back to the beginning to get more of the ring's history.  It was a fun and non-typical way to begin my reading week. I read "Trusting Molly" by Susan Stoker, and I fell hard for Molly who is a fantastic heroine who defines survival.  I finally got back to the Nashville Fury series by Chelle Sloan.  This book has been on my kindle for several months and I was thrilled to finally read it.  I also got to read Kayley Loring & Connor Crais' book set aroun...

Book reviews for the week of September 19th

Happy Friday!  I am publishing this early since I am traveling to Dallas this weekend to meet authors at Holidays with the Belles book signing.  I have tried to read something by each of the authors and I almost made it.  I am only missing reading nine authors out of twenty-nine now attending.  Some of the authors I had read are unfortunately not attending now or my number would be higher.  I have books picked out for the last nine and I will be adding those in over the next few months.  I have thoroughly enjoyed reading new-to-me authors in preparation for this and I believe I have found some new favorites in the process. This week I read two ARCs , one newer release and three from my Dallas author list.  One of those was read & listen in Kindle Unlimited so I was able to get a few things done around the house while listening.  Check out my reviews below and have a fantastic weekend.  I hope you read something great. Not in the Pl...
