Book reviews for books read in June 2026

In June I read nine books. Four were ARCs. And two were by new-to-me author Koko Heart- who has been on my TBR for ages. I will tell you, I had an amazing month of reads. Considering I was traveling 8 days of the month I definitely think I did more than alright. I enjoyed the mix I was able to pull from my TBR with the ATCs I received. I love mixing it up. I also love bingeing a new author, which I haven't been able to do in a long time. I am thoroughly enjoying Koko's Cooper Sisters series and I won't be able to stop till I am done. (I am also including the review of my last read from May below as I apparently did not add it to my blog when the hubby was hospitalized last month.)  Check out my reviews and add these fabulous books to your TBR. Until next time, happy reading! Just Playing for Keeps (Hockey Ever After #2)   by Lauren Blakely ARC: Release Date- 06/03/2026 #BestFriendsBrother #FakeRelationship #GrumpySunshine #Sports #ARC I am voluntarily leaving this...

Book reviews for books read May 1st-16th

I have read more books in the first half of May than I did in all of April. For the first time in a while, I did not have ARCs, so I was just following my mood. I read new recent releases and six books from my TBR. Honestly I loved them all. The best thing about following a mood is getting to read a variety of things. It has been a really fun month so far. Check my reviews and add some books to your TBR. Until next time, happy reading. High Heat: A MMF Baseball Novella #MMF #Novella #Sports Written in first person from Darcy’s POV, this quick, steamy read is a standalone and ends with a HEA. I love everything this author writes.  At times it is truly poetic. I loved how Darcy believes in their baseball ability. I really loved how she is able to see the closeness and unspoken communication ability they have with each other that makes them special on the field.  I adored how Cash and Sawyer are together: tender, protective, and hot.  Darcy is a lucky girl.  ...

Book reviews for books read in April 2026

Hello. April was a crazy busy month. I read four ARCs and one book from my TBR.  Three were small-town romances, two were sports romances, two had first responders, and three were single dad heroes. In other words, all just what I like. Check my reviews and add them to your TBR. You won't be sorry. Till next time, happy reading. Test of Time (Blossom Peak #3) by Harlow James ARC: Release Date- 04/10/2026 #SingleDad #GrumpyHero #FirstResponder #SmallTown #ARC I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book. This is written in first person from an alternating dual POV and ends with a sweet HEA. Though it can be read as a standalone, readers will find the most benefit from reading this interconnected series in order of publication. Rhonan is the grumpy single dad to 5-year-old, Ellis- who is a delight. He is also the protective older brother of Laney from book one in this series. I loved it when Vienna shows up and knocks h...

Book reviews for books read March 8th-18th

It isn't quite the weekend, but we are leaving on Friday for a couple weeks and I will be effectively on vacation and out of the country. So here are the reviews of the books I have read in the past 10 days. I read three very different ARCs. All were fantastic. Check my reviews and add these to your TBR. The first 2 are available now and the third releases 3/20. Until next time, happy reading! The Heir (Belvedere #1) by Elodie Hart ARC: Release Date- 03/11/2026 #Billionaire #ARC I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance review copy of the book. This is the first book in a new series, can be read as a standalone, and ends with a HEA. Readers who have read the Alchemy series by this author will recognize Ivy as she gets her happy ending.  It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV. Ivy (24) works as a host at Alchemy while managing family dynamics that are heartbreaking. The author does an amazing job tackling the issues Ivy deals w...

Book reviews for books read in February 2026

February came and went in the blink of an eye. I read one ARC, and two new-to-me authors. I also mood read a monster romance by the fabulous Caroline Lee/Veronika Kane. I was able to attend the Wild & Windy West book signing in Phoenix where I met both Jade Dollston and Sara L. Hudson. They were both wonderful and I have special edition books on my shelf now to prove it. I was glad I was able to go to the signing. With the way the last 12 months have gone, that was never guaranteed. All four of these books were true gems and I can't believe I am almost to the end of the first week in March before getting this blog review post finished. I am very excited about getting back to the three series I started in February, but I will tell you that March and April are stacked with ARCs and I am just trying to keep up. Check my reviews. Add these books to your TBR. And until next time, happy reading! It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time  (Darling Springs #1) by Lauren Blakely A...

Book reviews for books read December 9th-31st

Welcome to the end of 2025. In December I read a total of 8 books plus a collection of erotic short stories that I left unrated. In this post you will find reviews for my last 5 reads of the year. Four of them are by new-to-me authors. They are all very good and would be good additions to your TBR. After taking a step back from several ARCs these last few months, I found myself really leaning into mood reading. I found myself drawn to FB ads while mindlessly scrolling and gave into the urge to check out those books on several occasions. It was delightful. I hope my reviews help you find your next read. Here's to wishing all of us a happy 2026 full of books, love, and happiness. Call Me Anytime by Max Monroe #AgeGap #RomanticSuspense #Slowburn #Virgin Written in first person, from an alternating dual POV, this is a standalone with a HEA. Hannah, 25, is taking care of her mom, Sherry.  Sherry was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s when Hannah was 12. Sherry...
