Book reviews for books read July 7th-19th

Happy weekend! My daughter visited for a week and I spent several days reading 6 novellas in the Berserkers Saga which was a perfect thing to read while she was here. I also finished the Tsenturion Warriors series finally. I love those big gold aliens. Be careful about swiping right for abduction, LOL. And I was able to read an ARC of Emily Silver's next release. This book was written as a special book for RARE London this year and will release in August. It was a thoroughly enjoyable start to a new series. I want to go back and finish the rest of the Berserker series and I am hoping to really get through some books on my TBR over the next couple months. Stay tuned for a lot of reviews as I do that. Until next time, happy reading. Not In the Plans (London Lightning #1) by Emily Silver ARC: Release Date-08/08/2025 #AgeGap #OneNightStand #OppositesAttract #Sports #Workplace #ARC She had him from “Hello”. I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader ...

Book reviews for books read August 18th- 31st

A Package Deal (Wolfe Brothers #1) by Marika Ray ARC: Release Date-08/29/2024 #CinnamonRollHero #FamilySeries #ForcedProximity #MarriageOfConvenience #SingleMom #SmallTown #ARC Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this first book in series can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. The author returns to the small town of Blueball for a new series focused on the Wolfe brothers. Book one gives Warrick his happy ending. Warrick is 44 and retired wealthy when he returns home to assist his mom after his father passes. I absolutely loved this hero. He is kind, generous, protective, delicious, and absolutely everything. When he melted into a puddle for Em’s 5-year-old daughter, I knew my heart was a goner. The relationship he builds with little Georgia is really something special. He falls hard for that little girl while falling for her mom too. Em is a powerhouse. As a female general contractor, she can do anything a man can do but better. She is a force who ...

Book reviews from the week of July 23rd

Can you believe that July is over?  I cannot.  I have been traveling for the last week so I decided that I would hold this post to go through reviews for the rest of July and post it August 1st. I read three ARCs and one book off my TBR in the last week or so.  They were all excellent reads.  I hope my reviews help you find some new books to add to your TBR. Rival Hero (Redleg Security #4) by Jackie Walker ARC: Release Date-07/31/2023 #RomanticSuspense #RomanticComedy #ARC 5 STARS Book four of the series brings readers the story of Mia and Klein and their road to their HEA.  It can be read as a standalone and is written in first person from an alternating dual POV.  At 474 pages, this book is not a quick read: readers will want to allow themselves time to sink into it. Cal (Calvin Klein) is a little cinnamon roll, a little golden retriever, and discovers through Mia (to his surprise) that he is also a bit of a dominant alpha.  I will say I a...
