Book reviews from the week of May 29th

Happy weekend! I started this week renting a U-Haul and loading my son's belongings into it to move him cross country.  Six days later, we have arrived, the U-Haul is unloaded and returned, and I feel like I can finally get back to normal.  Since I did all of the driving of the U-Haul truck, it severely impacted my reading time.  I was able to finish three ARCs just under the wire for each of their releases.  They were all very enjoyable reads despite my fatigue and muscle soreness.  While driving, I did get to go back and listen to the prequel and first book of Claire Kingsley's Dirty Martini Running Club series  though.  Thankfully, I couldn't convince my son to listen to the romance audiobook with me and I had to listen through an ear bud.  I say thankfully because I forgot how hot the books were and listening with my 26-year-old son would have been a little on the awkward side.  So we did our own thing on the drive, and that  ...

Debut Author Spotlight: Lena Hendrix

I recently had the opportunity to read an ARC of Lena Hendrix's debut romance.  I really loved it (see my review below).  I contacted the author so I could feature her here on my blog.  I would love to have readers get to know her and her work.  I believe there is a bright future for her in the indie romance world.  Read on to learn about Lena, "Finding You", and what I loved about her work. Lena lives in the midwest with her husband, three children, and two derpy Australian Cattle Dogs. When she’s not writing or devouring new novels, you can find her hiking, camping, fishing, and sipping a spicy margarita! (The Unofficial Bio) ...

Book reviews from the week of March 14th

St. Patrick's Day and my birthday were this week.  Also, the hubby got sick and we were quarantined at home all week while I took care of him.  Despite the constant interruptions, I was able to read 5 ARCs and 2 short books that were in my library that I had not read yet.  There are so many good releases this month, I am seriously impressed.  Check out my reviews and pick up your next read.  My goal is always to add to your TBR from my extremely long personal one. Tackling Tobias by C.M. Steele (Part of Kristen Proby's Big Sky Universe) ARC: Release Date-3/17/2021 #Cowboy #AgeGap #GrumpyHero #ARC 4 STARS This was by first book by this author and I really enjoyed it.  It is written in first person from a dual POV. Tobias is a grumpy cowboy who is trying to run his ranch after losing his parents.  He has money from his previous career, and a low tolerance for those who don’t meet his expectations.  He has a heart for family and would love to ...
