Book reviews for books read in July 2026

I can't believe it's August already!  I was traveling nearly half of July, so I only read 5 books.  Three were ARCs and I managed to read two more books in Koko Heart's Cooper Sisters series. They were all wonderful reads. Check my reviews and add to your TBR today. It’s About Time (Blossom Peak #4) by Harlow James ARC: Release Date- 07/10/2026 #EnemiesToLovers #FriendsToLovers #FakeRelationship #SmallTown #ARC Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this novel ends in the sweetest HEA. Though it is technically a standalone, I encourage readers to read this series in publication order. Dilynne and Elliot have a history that influences how their relationship progresses that is largely detailed in the previous book of this series. Also, understanding the relationship between Elliot and his 3 best friends makes this book all the sweeter. I should have known that Dilynne and Elliot would be hot enough to melt my kindle. I really should have known. Und...

Book reviews for books read January 1st-9th

Well, we are nine days into a new year and I have managed to read two books- both ARCs. The world is more than a little crazy. My personal life has been in turmoil. Everything feels like it's falling apart. Occasionally, I can focus enough to escape. Both of these books made me laugh and smile. Both of these books made me feel lighter in dark times. I appreciate these authors for creating these stories  more than I can say. They beamed some light into my life. You should read them. Until next time, I hope we all manage to find some more light and some hope for a brighter future. Grumpiest Billionaire (Small Town Sisterhood #2)  by Pippa Grant ARC: Release Date- 01/08/2026 #Billionaire #RoadTrip #ForcedProximity #EnemiesToLovers #RomanticComedy #ARC I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book. Written in first person from an alternating, dual POV, this can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. Readers who haven’t ...

Book Blog Tour: Two Guys, One Puck by J.R. Gray

BLURB: A fist fight shouldn’t be flirting. Two Guys One Puck, an all-new enemies to lovers, double bi-awakening, hockey romance from bestselling author J.R. Gray is now available! I’m so close to the NHL draft and the dream I’ve worked towards my entire life and he’s made it his mission to ruin it all. Ktytor is the super star enforcer for our biggest rivals the Massachusetts Monsters. He has a counter for every move I make like he’s inside my head. He’s cocky, infuriating, and knows just how to get under my skin. His torments finally push me over the edge so when he suggests we finish our on-ice fight outside after the game, I gladly accept What I didn’t expect was our trading blows to end in us making out. I’ve never even considered being with a guy before and now I have to pretend to hate him while sneaking around and navigating our public rivalry. We’re at each other’s throats and it only makes him hotter.   Start reading today! FREE in Kindle Unlimited Amazon: https://...

Book reviews for books read September 1st-11th

September is going by quickly. So far this month I have read one ARC, three other books from my TBR, and four novellas. (I scored a bunch of steamy novellas on a free insta-love romance day. I am enjoying reading those in the evening instead of starting a new book that will keep me up too late.) I also DNF'd my first book in a while. Amazingly, all nine books were by new-to-me authors! What an incredible start to a month, right? Funny story about the ARC: I have met J.R. Gray on several occasions at book signings and he has been on my list to read for a while. Because I like him as a person and his books sounded so good, I have signed up to promote many of his books as they release, knowing I would eventually get to read them too. The PR company he is using for this upcoming release emailed me that I could have an ARC (that I didn't sign up for) and after looking at my calendar, I realized I had time to read it! I have to say that happened to be the best decision I made all w...

Book reviews for books read June 15th-23rd

June has been a heck of a month. My husband has had 2 hospital admissions so far and we are only 23 days in. It has me off my groove a little bit. I was able to read two ARCs and three books from my TBR in the last bit though. Check out my reviews and give these books a try. Beneath Highland Stars (Special Ops Scots #3)  by Kait Nolan ARC: Release Date- 06/20/2025 #EnemiesToLovers #ForcedProximity #RomanticSuspense #ARC I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book. Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this 3 rd book in series can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. Finn is the former Royal Marine who is happy-go-lucky, always joking, always charming- at least on the outside. Underneath he is serious, damaged, and feeling all of his emotions. Saoirse is the town vet and she and Finn have a sappy way of communicating as they try hard to convince themselves that their chemistry isn’t real. Once Sao...

Book reviews for books read June 1st-14th

Happy weekend!  It has been a busy couple of weeks but I managed to read 6 books. Two ARCs, and four books from my TBR. I have been working on reading the backlist of Swati M.H., and managed to read all but one of her books prior to assisting her at the HEA Reader Event in Indianapolis on June 7th. Then I joyfully read two ARCs, both over 400 pages. Then I needed something a little different. I needed to break away from traditional, contemporary romance and was able to fit in a paranormal rom com and a monster romance. Now I am back to ARCs.  There are so many good books to read. I am exceedingly grateful to the authors who have written and are writing books that suck me into their imaginary worlds. Thank you authors for giving me a way to escape reality for a little while and guaranteeing me that happy ending. Till next time, happy reading.
