Book reviews for books read in June 2026

In June I read nine books. Four were ARCs. And two were by new-to-me author Koko Heart- who has been on my TBR for ages. I will tell you, I had an amazing month of reads. Considering I was traveling 8 days of the month I definitely think I did more than alright. I enjoyed the mix I was able to pull from my TBR with the ATCs I received. I love mixing it up. I also love bingeing a new author, which I haven't been able to do in a long time. I am thoroughly enjoying Koko's Cooper Sisters series and I won't be able to stop till I am done. (I am also including the review of my last read from May below as I apparently did not add it to my blog when the hubby was hospitalized last month.)  Check out my reviews and add these fabulous books to your TBR. Until next time, happy reading! Just Playing for Keeps (Hockey Ever After #2)   by Lauren Blakely ARC: Release Date- 06/03/2026 #BestFriendsBrother #FakeRelationship #GrumpySunshine #Sports #ARC I am voluntarily leaving this...

Book reviews for books read March 19th-31st

In the last week or so of March I felt like the old me and got some reading done. I read two ARCs, backtracked to catch up on a couple of TBR books I hadn't read yet, and read a novella by Hannah McBride that I somehow missed before. Needless to say, despite busy life stuff, this made my month. I'm sure my reading pace is going to vary as life happens, but I was very happy to feel like me again. Check the reviews. Add the books to your TBR. Thank an author today for pulling you into a fantasy world that lets you escape your reality- even for a little while. Happy reading! Ryder (Lucky Rivers Ranch #5) by Jessica Peterson ARC: Release Date- 04/07/2026 #BrothersBestFriend #Cowboy #FriendsToLovers #FamilySeries #SmallTown #ARC I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book. It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV and ends with a HEA. This is the final book in the Lucky River Ranch series. Though it can be read as...

Book reviews for books read March 8th-18th

It isn't quite the weekend, but we are leaving on Friday for a couple weeks and I will be effectively on vacation and out of the country. So here are the reviews of the books I have read in the past 10 days. I read three very different ARCs. All were fantastic. Check my reviews and add these to your TBR. The first 2 are available now and the third releases 3/20. Until next time, happy reading! The Heir (Belvedere #1) by Elodie Hart ARC: Release Date- 03/11/2026 #Billionaire #ARC I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance review copy of the book. This is the first book in a new series, can be read as a standalone, and ends with a HEA. Readers who have read the Alchemy series by this author will recognize Ivy as she gets her happy ending.  It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV. Ivy (24) works as a host at Alchemy while managing family dynamics that are heartbreaking. The author does an amazing job tackling the issues Ivy deals w...

Book reviews for books read January 1st-9th

Well, we are nine days into a new year and I have managed to read two books- both ARCs. The world is more than a little crazy. My personal life has been in turmoil. Everything feels like it's falling apart. Occasionally, I can focus enough to escape. Both of these books made me laugh and smile. Both of these books made me feel lighter in dark times. I appreciate these authors for creating these stories  more than I can say. They beamed some light into my life. You should read them. Until next time, I hope we all manage to find some more light and some hope for a brighter future. Grumpiest Billionaire (Small Town Sisterhood #2)  by Pippa Grant ARC: Release Date- 01/08/2026 #Billionaire #RoadTrip #ForcedProximity #EnemiesToLovers #RomanticComedy #ARC I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book. Written in first person from an alternating, dual POV, this can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. Readers who haven’t ...

Book reviews for books read April 12th-20th

Happy weekend! I read three ARCs over the last week or so. Life is buy but I am still finding time to read. And what good reads they were! City billionaire, cocky hockey player, and gold-hearted cowboy headline these three books with stories that will grab you and not let go. I hope you add them to your TBR. Happy reading! Just A Little Crush (Sterling Family Crossover #1)  by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde                         ARC: Release Date- 04/15/2025 #Billionaire #BestFriendsBrother #FakeRelationship #SingleDad #ARC I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book. Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this romance can stand alone and ends with a HEA. I fell in love with Caleb in Raven’s book. He is such a good brother to her and father to his son. He is protective with a kind heart. He is l...

Book reviews for books read December 23rd - 27th

Happy weekend!  We are almost to the end of 2024 and I have been wrapping up my reading challenges for the year.  I had set a goal off 200 books in Goodreads for the year and I was a little behind. The holidays are the perfect time for novellas and I read several over the past week to meet my reading goal. I also finished the B.A.N.G. Book Club Challenge this week. The hardest book on the list for me was a banned book. When looking for a book, I found either I had already read it, or it was honestly not something that interested me. I finally settled on an Alexa Riley novella with the thought that the author is banned on the 'Zon and it was a step dad romance. I read one ARC, one full-length novel, and seven novellas this week. Five of those were by new-to-me authors. Jessica Peterson's new release in the Lucky River Ranch series was fabulous and it melted me in all the best ways.  I fell down the monster romance rabbit hole in a big way. I am OBSESSED with the Arr...
