Book reviews from the week of January 8th

Happy weekend fellow readers!  I had an AMAZING week reading.  I read three ARCs, a prequel to a new series and one of the ARCs, a book on my TBR, and a newly released memoir.   Kait Nolan's new series Kilted Hearts is set in a small Scottish village and I am 100% hooked on how this is going to play out. I need the whole series now.  Carly Phillips is getting ready to release a short follow-up to Just One Spark.  I love seeing Cassidy and Dash work on their marriage and compromise for more happiness.  Melanie Moreland released The Watcher while I was on vacation last fall.  It has been patiently waiting on my kindle for me to get back to it. And now that I have I need to say WOW! Damien is everything I needed him to be.  Following that up with an ARC of the final book in the series, I then fell head over heels for Egan and his romantic soul.  Finally, I spent 2 days reading Prince Harry's newly released memoir.  I had a lot o...

Book reviews from the week of October 2nd

My Brother's Forbidden Friend (Greene Family #9)  by Piper Rayne ARC: Release Date- 10/04/2022 #BrothersBestFriend #SmallTown #FamilySeries #ARC 5 STARS This was the perfect couple to wrap the series. Book nine in the Greene Family series can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA.  That said, Chevelle and Cam appear in the other books of the series and readers will get the most enjoyment from reading the series in order.  It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV. I knew Chevelle and Cam would have a doozy of a story, yet I was unprepared for the emotion they made me feel.  Chevelle has had so much guilt over her mother’s death.   Cam has always been there and there have been many times when they antagonized each other.  They have some fabulous pranks on each other in this book that made me laugh out loud. There have also been times when they have supported each other.  Their attraction to each other has been fierce a...

Book reviews for the week of June 5th

I was dedicated to getting caught up this week.  I read 5 ARCs that all released this week, getting my reviews finished just under the wire.  There were three enemies-to-lovers books this week.  It was just how it worked out.  The banter and sparks from each of the couples were truly enjoyable to read.  There was wit, laugh-out-loud moments, and lots of hot times in these new releases.  I got something from each and every happily-ever-after.  I hope my reviews help you to determine which one you might like to read next as well.  May your TBR be ever growing and your week of reading filled with love and happy endings. The Dealmaker (Sex & Bonds #1) by Jessica Peterson ARC: Release Date- 06/07/2022 #EnemiesToLovers #Workplace #ARC 5 STARS Book one of an all-new series is set in the world of stock and bond trading in Charlotte, NC.   It is written in first person from a dual POV and ends with a HEA. It is obvious to me that...

Book reviews from the week of April 17th

This has been an incredible reading week for me.  I read three ARCs, two books to meet reading challenge and a book for book club. Two of these authors were new to me and I have certainly added them to my new favorites category.  This week I read some romantic comedy, mystery, fantasy, romantic suspense, and a mafia romance.  Who could ask for more?  Everything from a marriage of convenience to fated mates was covered by this week's reads.  A couple of the books contain some heavier content, so I have included trigger/content warnings in my reviews here.  Of the ARCs, Lucy Score's book just released so you should grab it now for a fun read.  Christina Hovland's book releases this coming week and readers are going to love Knox and Irena.  Tawna Fenske's next installment in the Assassins in Love series will release May 12th, but readers can grab the prequel and book one now (which I highly recommend).  I read Ruthless Creatures for a boo...
