Book reviews from the week of May 26th

Happy weekend!  This week I fell into my TBR and binged the entire Marriage Auction serial series by Audrey Carlan. Because I am me, I read the whole series and then the prequel. It didn't hurt me though.  When Kindle Vella came out, I knew it was not the platform for me. patience is not my virtue. The idea of waiting for the next chapter to drop seemed like a tortuous promise that might drive me a little nuts. I was thrilled when Audrey Carlan published her serial in a four book set. It has been on my list for a while. After reading Kathryn Nolan's next release (which is in last week's reviews) I had an enormous book hangover. I knew I needed to find something different to get past it before moving on to the next group of ARCs. So I went to my TBR and I remembered this series. I was all in. This was an AC week for me and it was glorious! One advantage of the serial format is the ability to intertwine multiple stories into the same time line. Like the soap operas on TV ...

Book reviews from the week of December 10th

This was a busy week heading into the holidays.  I managed to read three books from my TBR and listen to one holiday novella. The Christmas Crush by Lyndsey Gallagher is a fun and steamy holiday romance.  I thoroughly enjoyed backing up and reading it after I read Dating for December in November.  I finally got to read the next two books of Swati M.H.'s Elements of Rapture series.  They were angsty good reads that I thoroughly enjoyed.  Ascend's Garrett Meyer just melted me. Finally, I delved into the Audible Plus catalog for a novella to listen to while I baked pepperoni rolls and wrapped presents.  It was perfect length for a day doing holiday tasks and fun and also a well-narrated listen.  You seriously cannot go wrong with Andi Arndt and Jason Clarke. I am headed out of town for a weekend away with the hubby so I am dropping this a day early.  Until next week, I hope you have a week full of amazing reads and happy endings. The Christmas...

Book reviews from the week of June 12th

Hello.  I hope everyone had a wonderful week.  I had a busy work week that I had not planned to have, leaving me with less reading time than I wanted.   I was still able to read two ARCs, including Lucy Score's next release.  Lucy is one of those authors that take me longer to read than normal.  I have never really pinned down why; may be I just savor her books more than most.  Readers are going to love "Maggie Moves On" when it releases next week.  You should certainly grab it when you get the chance.  Readers should know that it is a traditionally published book that will be available on all platforms and will not be available in Kindle Unlimited.   I also read an ARC of Lena Hendrix's latest.  She takes us back to Redemption Ranch for the Marriage-Of-Convenience story of Evan's brother, Parker, and his wife, Sienna.  I love the Redemption Ranch crew.  The premise of a working ranch with criminals in witness ...
