Book reviews for books read in April 2026

Hello. April was a crazy busy month. I read four ARCs and one book from my TBR.  Three were small-town romances, two were sports romances, two had first responders, and three were single dad heroes. In other words, all just what I like. Check my reviews and add them to your TBR. You won't be sorry. Till next time, happy reading. Test of Time (Blossom Peak #3) by Harlow James ARC: Release Date- 04/10/2026 #SingleDad #GrumpyHero #FirstResponder #SmallTown #ARC I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book. This is written in first person from an alternating dual POV and ends with a sweet HEA. Though it can be read as a standalone, readers will find the most benefit from reading this interconnected series in order of publication. Rhonan is the grumpy single dad to 5-year-old, Ellis- who is a delight. He is also the protective older brother of Laney from book one in this series. I loved it when Vienna shows up and knocks h...

Book reviews for books read August 1st - 17th

Hello! This has been a crazy month as the hubby has radiation appointments almost every day, multiple doctor appointments per week, and my paying job has required extra shifts this month. I still managed to read 6 books including 3 new to me authors so far this month. I also read 2 ARCs, which were both fantastic reads for me. Check out my reviews below and add some books to your TBR. Until next time, happy reading! Billionaire Romantic (New York Billionaires #4)  by Julie Capulet ARC: Release Date- 08/16/2025 #AgeGap #Billionaire #InstaLove #Virgin #ARC Wildest Dreams. Say Yes. I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book. Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. Romantic Noah finally finds his HEA with Lucky. He falls for her so quickly and he can’t stand to be apart from her. Lucky can’t believe Noah is real as he treats her right with countless O’s...

Book reviews for books read June 15th-23rd

June has been a heck of a month. My husband has had 2 hospital admissions so far and we are only 23 days in. It has me off my groove a little bit. I was able to read two ARCs and three books from my TBR in the last bit though. Check out my reviews and give these books a try. Beneath Highland Stars (Special Ops Scots #3)  by Kait Nolan ARC: Release Date- 06/20/2025 #EnemiesToLovers #ForcedProximity #RomanticSuspense #ARC I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book. Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this 3 rd book in series can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. Finn is the former Royal Marine who is happy-go-lucky, always joking, always charming- at least on the outside. Underneath he is serious, damaged, and feeling all of his emotions. Saoirse is the town vet and she and Finn have a sappy way of communicating as they try hard to convince themselves that their chemistry isn’t real. Once Sao...

Book reviews for books read October 7th-12th

Happy weekend!  This week I read one new release and four ARCs. I feel like I am getting back into the groove of where I like to be, and I am coming close to finishing ARCs for October release. It was a busy week and now I need to get some stuff done around the house that I have neglected. Take a look at the reviews and add these new and upcoming releases to your TBR. Power Pose by Emily Silver #FF #LGBTQIA+ #FakeRelationship #Novella Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this novella is a standalone and ends with a HEA. I love a good fake relationship book and this one was fabulous. Raven is a boss babe and CEO of her family’s company in Seattle. She has an amazing heart that uses her business to create good in the world. Blair is an assistant prosecutor who has custody of her teenage sister and a lot on her plate. While Raven seems fearless in so many ways, Blair loves the comfort of predictability and security. There are times in the book where Blair is le...

Book reviews for books read from September 1st - September 13th

September started, I blinked, and now it is the thirteenth of the month. Between traveling with the hubby to the Bronco Super Celebration in Buena Vista, Colorado (where we got to take our Bronco on some fun offroad trails) and working at the job, I can't believe the month is nearly half gone. I read four arcs and one book from a new-to-me author during the past two weeks. I cannot imagine a better reading start to any month EVER. I no longer include star ratings on my blog post, but rest assured: these five books all deserve more than five stars. I was able to continue three series that I already love with ARCs of three books that released this week. Emmett Noughton is not only a goof of a younger brother, he turned out to have depth I didn't expect in the newest addition to the Plain Daisy Ranch series. Claire Kingsley delivered another romantic suspense and a mystery that kept me up very, very, late to finish the book. At the same time it left me not wanting to finish beca...

Book reviews for books read the week of August 11th

Happy weekend!  This week I read one ARC and two books from my TBR to meet reading challenges. First up, Jessica Peterson has Cash arriving on 8/22 and it knocked my socks off. I am beyond excited for this series. I am still all in my feels over it.  I read my first Evie Dunmore book this week. It has been on my kindle for a while and it was the perfect book to read for a challenge that needed a book with more than ten thousand reviews. I also went rough my library and looked at books that had a pink cover. I have several, and the one that grabbed me was Across From You by A.M. Daniels. It was a fun and lighthearted read that was exactly what I needed for the challenge. I am back home now after three weeks away, so I am playing catch up on all the home things neglected in my absence. I am hopeful that I will be able to get a few more books in this next week despite returning to work at the job. Until next time: happy reading! Cash (Lucky River Ranch #1) by Jessica Peter...
