Book reviews from the week of September 25th

Happy weekend! I am at the Route 66 Author Event in Oklahoma City this weekend.  I love catching up with authors and other readers.  OKC is a new town for me.  This is also the first signing I drove to and my hubby came with me.  I am so excited to see his reaction to the signing tomorrow, even though this is one of the smaller ones I have attended.   I am in the middle of an ARC and three audio books as I write this.  Hopefully that means I will have more book reviews to share next week.  This week I did finish one ARC and one book by L.B. Dunbar, who has been on my list forever.  I also read several short stories from anthologies in my collection to read something by authors I have not red yet but that I will be meeting at the event.  Someday when I finish those anthologies, I will need to write reviews for them as well.  I hope these reviews find you happy and reading something fabulous.      Speak From The ...

Book reviews from the week of September 18th

Happy weekend!  I read three books this week including one ARC, and two new-to-me authors.  I love when children in books are more, and the two single-dad reads this week definitely deliver.  This week I also read my first monster romance, and I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it.  The author did a wonderful job of making the relationship believable.  I couldn't help but root for their HEA.  I hope you had a good week too.  Happy reading! In a Jam by Kate Canterbary #SmallTown #SingleDad #FriendsToLovers #MarriageOfConvenience #GrumpyHero #ARC ARC: Release Date- 09/20/2022 5 STARS This standalone is written in first person from ana alternating dual POV and ends with a HEA. Shay returns to Friendship, Rhode Island after her life implodes and she inherits a tulip farm.   When she runs into Noah, she realizes her high school friend has grown up to be a sexy, grumpy farmer with a whole lot on his plate of life. Book reviews from September 1st through 17th

I am back from vacation.  I had a fantastic two week tour of Ireland and Northern Ireland with my youngest daughter.  A while back, she decided she wanted to celebrate her 25th birthday in Ireland.  When she started looking at trips and asked me to join her, I was all in.  It was a wonderful thing to share the special memories of this trip with her. Because I was busy sight-seeing and traveling, I took actual time off from my blog for the first time in two years.  I read on our long flights and a little here and there, but nowhere near the amount I normally read.  Actually, when we got on the plane, I started and stopped three books that just would not click. (I was pretty excited about our trip. LOL)  I was caught up on ARCs for a hot minute.  I kept looking at my TBR and I remembered that I had the first two books of Emily Silver's new series waiting on my kindle.  I was so excited to get sucked into book one with Jackson and Tenley....

Book reviews for the week of August 28th - August 31st

Hello all!  This is a special edition, end-of-August post.  I will be traveling for the next couple of weeks on a real vacation.  But I did not want to wait that long to share my review of this fantastic romance I just finished.  Tanner and Quinn share an amazing love story full of acceptance, support, and healing.  I honestly cannot recommend it enough.  Make this your next rock star or military romance pick and i promise you will not be disappointed. Guarding Shadows (Save Me #5)  by Aly Stiles and Hazel James #Military #HealingLove #WoundedHero #Bodyguard #Rockstar #SlowBurn 5 STARS This is my first Aly Stiles book (though several have been on my TBR for quite a while) and my second Hazel James book. This can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV. Quinn is the rock star about to take off into the stratosphere. She exudes sunlight and joy all over Tanner and his shadows. Tanner....

Book reviews from the week of August 21st

I am excited for this weekend.  I had a productive week where I read three ARCs, a book for book club, and a novella of a new-to-me author. The book club author was also new-to-me so this week I was able to read two authors I have been wanting to read  for a while. This week I will let my reviews speak for themselves, but I enjoyed every book I read.   I will be on an actual vacation for the first two weeks of September so my reviews for the next couple of weeks will be delayed.  I wish everyone happy fall and happy reading.   After We Fall (Dare with Me #6) by J.H. Croix ARC: Release Date- 08/30/2022 #SmallTown #FriendsToLovers #ForcedProximity #ARC 4 STARS Book six in the Dare with Me series can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA.  It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV. We finally get Harley and Grant’s story.  Readers first meet Harley when she comes to visit her brother in Alaska and ends up staying....

Book reviews from the week of August 14th

Happy weekend!  I am home from my travels and recovering from a severe allergy burst.  I finished two ARCs and a new release this week. I am thrilled that they were all incredibly good reads.  Piper Rayne and Pippa Grant gave me ARCs that delivered feel-good, small town romantic yumminess. J.T. Geissinger's new release was an erotic thriller that completely blew me away.  Three delicious books.   I am working at the JOB this weekend, so I wish everyone a happy weekend and week full of the books that feed your soul. My Fake Fiancé (Greene Family #8) by Piper Rayne ARC: Release Date- 08/23/2022 #SmallTown #FakeRelationship #FriendsToLovers #CurvyGirl #ARC 5 STARS Mandi and Noah find love and their HEA in book #8 of the Greene Family.
