Book reviews for the week of May 22nd

Happy weekend! I spent the last week visiting my family and helping my son pack to move across the country.  I have enjoyed my time with everyone but reading is definitely suffering.  I only read two ARCs this week.  I have a pile to get through by the end of the first week of June so her e is hoping I can make better progress soon.   My first ATC this week, I read just under the wire before it released.  Delancey Stewart takes readers back to Kasper Ridge.  I loved reading Monroe's love story. Her character was complex and fun and readers are going to love her and Mateo.  My second book was Melanie Moreland's next book in her Reynold's restoration series.  Brett and Kelly are fire on the page as they move forward in their relationship.  I am thankful that though I only read two books this week, they were both excellent.   Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend a fantastic week of happy reading. Only A Crush (Kasper Ridge #2) by Delancey Stewart ARC: Release Date- 05/23/202

Book reviews for the week of May 15th

This has been an interesting week for me.  I have been traveling, and while I am visiting my dad in West Virginia I am working off of satellite internet.  It is SLOW.  Also, when visiting family, I find I don't read nearly as much as I do at home. (Understandably.) I have several ARCs to read though, so I am doing my best to get them read and reviewed by release.  This week I read two ARCs and they both released this week.   Julia Connors is a debut author with a lot of promise.  Her book was interesting and well-written.  I really enjoyed the world of competitive skiing and the characters she developed. See my review below.  If it sounds like something you would also like, give her a try.  Her book is in Kindle Unlimited.  I love to help support new authors and I recommend you give her a try.   My second ARC is by one of my one-click favorites.  Kathryn is an amazing writer and a beautiful person.  When you read her books you get a peek into her generous and loving heart. Book reviews from the week of May 8th

This was a crazy, busy week for me.  I had originally intended to read three more ARCs than I accomplished this week. (Though I was able to read the two books leading up to my Delancey Stewart ARC, while waiting for the others to come in.) Then life happened.  I hate it when work gets in the way of reading.  Anyway, I did read one ARC.  Readers are going to love Annie Dyer's new release this week. Catrin and Zeke have a steamy love story full of artistic soul.  The two books I read by Delancey Stewart set up the Kasper Ridge series with former Navy pilot buddies, a treasure hunt, and wonderful characters set in a small town in the Colorado mountains.  I can't wait to find out what Uncle Marvin has hidden for his niece and nephew.  I will be traveling over the next few weeks but I will also be reading.  I hope everyone a wonderful time reading as summer sets to kick off. Book reviews from the week of May 1st

While waiting for the next round of ARCs to arrive, I used this week to get a jump on several monthly reading challenges and to finally read the Catherine Bybee book that has been sitting on my kindle for months since it released. I also finished the Nashville Fury series by Chelle Sloan with her wonderful surprise baby romance.  An Unexpected Distraction was available as a Kindle read & Listen title and I listened to the first half while spring cleaning before switching to the eBook to finish. The narration was very good and I never felt like I was missing anything (which is the biggest challenge I have with listening to an audiobook I have not read already).  I finally got back to the Ice Planet Barbarians after two years to meet a reading challenge requirement of Sci-Fi Romance.  I really missed that world and have already downloaded book 11 in the series.  Emily Silver's "Royal Reckoning" is the first in a series of three royal books and met another reading chal

Book reviews from the week of April 24th

This week was a full week of reading.  I read four full-length novels and five novellas. I was able to read an ARC of the upcoming "Greene Family Vacation" by Piper Rayne, which sets the stage for the rest of that series.  In addition to the ARC novella of the Greene Family, I fell down a bit of a historical fantasy hole as I read several of the novellas that are tied together in the Lore of the Lucius Ring.  I started at the end with Susan Stoker's book "The Guardian Mist" and ended up going back to the beginning to get more of the ring's history.  It was a fun and non-typical way to begin my reading week. I read "Trusting Molly" by Susan Stoker, and I fell hard for Molly who is a fantastic heroine who defines survival.  I finally got back to the Nashville Fury series by Chelle Sloan.  This book has been on my kindle for several months and I was thrilled to finally read it.  I also got to read Kayley Loring & Connor Crais' book set aroun
