Book reviews from the week of February 20th

This week has been another week traveling for me.  Visiting family and taking care of things in Pennsylvania and West Virginia before flying to Nashville meant not a lot of reading time for me.  I did manage to read both the prequel and the ARC of Lauren Blakely's new release which is available today. I am loving Nashville so far, though it is colder here than I expected.  I love meeting book friends I have only known online.  Exploring a new city with them is the best.  Tomorrow is the Music City with the Belles signing and I can't wait to tell everyone about how it goes. In the meantime, have a great reading week. Wild Card Night (Happy Endings #0.5) by Lauren Blakely #Prequel #Sports #Fling 4 STARS This is the prequel to a new series.  It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV.  Katie and Harlan are perfect for each other.  Only the timing of their relationship is wrong in this prequel set nearly eight years before book one of the series.  Sass, steam,

Book reviews for the week of February 13th

This week was a little crazy.  Between the Super Bowl, traveling by plane and by car, and spending time visiting with family I only read two ARCs.  Both of these upcoming releases were excellent and enjoyable reads that delivered more than just a HEA.  As I continue traveling over the next week, I hope to read a few more books before I get ot the Music City with the Belles book signing in Nashville.  Wishing everyone a safe and happy week full of books and cozy reading. Off Season (Nashville Fury #3) by Chelle Sloan ARC: Release Date- 2/24/2022 #SportsRomance #SecondChance #ARC 5 STARS This book is the third book in the Nashville Fury series, but it can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA.  It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV. Coming into this book, I had not read the previous two books in the series.  As a result, I had no preconceived notions of Bryce.  In some ways that was very good because this book starts very differently form other sports romance

Book reviews from the week of February 6th

I had a really good week reading.  I read one ARC and four new-to-me authors in preparation for the Music City with the Belles book signing in Nashville at the end of the month.  I was thrilled to read authors who have been on my list for a while and the signing gave me the perfect excuse to make it happen.  The end result is I have several new favorites and a ton of books added to my TBR with their backlists. I hope my reviews help you decide if you might like these books as much as I did.  I love growing other people's TBR as much as my own.  Happy reading! Fall For Me (Light My Fire #4) by JH Croix                                                        ARC: Release Date-2/22/2022 #FriendsToLovers #FakeRelationship #Firefighter #Billionaire #SmallTown #ARC 5 STARS This is book four in the Light My Fire series, but it can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA.  It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV. Archer and Phoebe were best friends as children.  Aft

Book reviews from the week of January 30th

This week I read one ARC, two new-to-me authors, and a nanny romance for a February reading challenge.  Washed Up was a very enjoyable forbidden, reverse age gap romance.  I loved Amanda and the love she finds that works for them.  The Newspaper Nanny was a fun read with some super-cute little girls. It is had to beat that. I read one of our two book club historical romances for this month and Plaid to the Bone was a fun, irreverent take on a historical Scottish romance.  I really enjoyed it.  Finally, I read an ARC of Stephanie Rose's next book, which releases on February 11th. It was everything I needed this week.  You won't want to miss it.  Hopefully my reviews help you decide if you want to add these books to your TBR.  I wish everyone a wonderful week full of books and happily ever afters. Just One Favor by Stephanie Rose ARC: Release Date- 02/11/2022 #EnemiesToLovers #FakeRelationship 5 STARS Tyler and Olivia have known each other their whole lives and fought like cats
