Book reviews from the week of July 18th

I had an excellent week reading.  I read 5 ARCs and a Regency Romance to meet a reading challenge requirement.  Thankfully it had been sitting on my Kindle and my TBR for a while, and I really enjoyed the opportunity to push it to the top of the list. This week I was treated to humor, steam, some suspense, and lots of interaction between characters and their families.  I loved catching up with the Greene Family and enjoyed the way the book sets up the next round of books for them. My first book by Louise Bay was a treat.   After having other readers recommend her work for a while, I can say that I agree that she puts together an enjoyable books with engaging characters and I look forward to reading more of her work.  Delancey Stewart and Marika Ray delivered the next Digital Dating book with a romance that is nearly clean and certainly sweet and fun.  Finally I read an ARC of the next Marie James  release and fell hopelessly in love with sh...

Book reviews for the week of July 11th

Happy weekend!  I read five books this week.  One new release, one book for book club, and three ARCs.  Mika Jolie's new book is a steamier version of a small town Hallmark love story and was a quick, fun read.  Kayley Loring released her new book with a unique setting in the hilarious world of stand-up comedy.  Max Monroe's new release gives readers at the first of the long-awaited Winslow brothers when Jude finds his happily ever after.  Tia Louise's new book, releasing next week, pairs Daisy's fiery red headed cousin, Joselyn, with the uptight and oh-so-proper, Spencer. And I read a new-to-me author, Eden Finley, for an online book club read.  I really enjoyed the fake relationship trope used in a male/male romance.  The variety was good in this week's reads and I believe there is something for everyone to add to their TBR. 713 Main St. (Cherry Falls #28) by Mika Jolie #SmallTown #BWWM 3.5 STARS Love is worth the risk. Book reviews from the week of July 4th

This has been a phenomenal week of reading!!!  I will admit, I struggled to keep up this week as the ARCs flowed in fast and furious.  And I loved every second of it!  A reader cannot go wrong with any of these books.  Catherine Bybee brought me action and suspense with fierce heroines and fantastic heroes in the Richter Series.  Lauren Blakely brought her trademark heat and swoon with her Men of Summer Male/Male romance duet and prequel. I just love grant and can't wait for his HEA in book 2 later this month.  Pippa Grant brought big smiles to my face and a melt ot my heart with her latest Fireballs romance. (Max is awesome and I just want to hug him.) Lucy Score kept me awake at night because I could not put her newest Riley Thorn book down to go to bed.  Never mind that I had to get up in three hours to go to work.  Everly Ashton brought me the beginning of an all new series of handyman brother with Rent-A-Husband.  I just can't say...

Book reviews from the week of June 27th

I cannot believe that the year of 2021 is half gone already! As of the end of June I have read 138 books of my 2021 goal of 200.  I think that I will surpass the goal, and I am very happy that there are so many good books available to read with happily-ever-after attached to the characters.  The world around us is not always a happy place and I love that I can escape into a world where the characters can go through difficult times, yet always make it through to a brighter future.  I guess I am feeling a little philosophical today, but there you go. I read 4 books and a novella this week.  The prequel novella for Piper Rayne's new series sets the stage perfectly and is a read you should not miss.  Their venture into hockey romance is a treat that I really enjoyed this week.  Carly Phillips' next Kingston family book was terrific and I fell hard for the hero, Beckett.  Annie Dyer delivers the perfect summer fling romance that becomes forever with ...
