Blurb:

Falling for the rookie wasn't part of the plan.

As a pro athlete, I have one unbreakable rule when it comes to men -- Don't date another baseball player.

Good thing I haven't been tempted once in four years in the majors.

Until the day a rising star walks into my locker room. Outgoing, affable, and sexy-as-sin, Grant has confidence and talent for miles. He seems to get me too, maybe because we each have our fair share of secrets and scars -- ones we'll both fight to protect.

But, I've got far too much trouble in my past to want to bring any into my present.

All the more reason to resist the kind of dirty deeds his lips and eyes promise.

Even after I plant a scorching, hot kiss on the rookie one night after a game.

Even after he sends me the world's sexiest selfie.

But when Grant reveals his biggest secret, I'm so damn ready to rip up the rulebook.

Turns out he's a virgin and he wants me to help him get around all the bases.

The only rule? Don't fall in love with him as we go.

Scoring with Him is book one in the utterly addictive Men of Summer series. This romance between two professional athletes spans five epic years and continues in Winning With Him.

PREORDER WINNING WITH HIM, #2 of the Men of Summer series!

My Review:

#MMRomance #SportsRomance #ARC

5 STARS

The summer is heating up.

This author delivers some of the best MM romance and this does not disappoint.  It is book one in the Men of Summer Duet (with book 2 coming soon) and is written in first person from an alternating dual POV.  It does end in a cliffhanger, and I was aware of that going in.

I have loved Grant in previous books because he is such a good friend.  Though I have met Declan in other books I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him better in this story.  The drama of pro sports, a small age gap, a virgin, and a bucket list combine to create a story that was engaging and full of heat.  I seriously cannot wait for book two.  I desperately want them to have their HEA.

Book reviews for books read January 19th-24th

Happy weekend! I decided that since I hit 7 books this week I should just go ahead and push this out today. I will read at least one more today but you will see that review next week. I had a gap between ARCs! I went back and finished the Kings of Avalier series that I started in February 2024.  SO GOOD! They are new adult, which is not my norm, but the fantasy realm made them un-put-down-able. I am thrilled to meet the author in Phoenix in a couple of weeks. I read the next book in the J. Saman series I am making my way through. Those Abbot-Fritz brothers are something else. I adore that whole family. I read four novellas with 2 of those being new-to-me authors. Coco Miller's book was a fun billionaire read, and Regine Abel's Prime Mating Agency was GOLD. You will see in my review that I loved this first in series book, and I am super excited to read the rest of them. I read a wonderful mafia novella by Lee Savino. He is truly obsessed with the girl without it being a terri...

Book reviews for books read October 20th-31st

I read two arcs in the second part of October. They were both wonderful reads. Obviously, my personal life has impacted my reading as I only finished 5 books this month. I can't tell you when the last time was that I read so little. The positive part was all of the books I read this month were very good. Until next time, happy reading! Can't Believe You Came (Mile High Matched #5)  by Christina Hovland ARC: Release Date- 10/24/2025 #CinnamonRollHero #OppositesAttract #ARC I am voluntarily writing this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book. It is written in third person, can be read as a standalone, and ends with a HEA. I have loved this series from the beginning. It is wonderful to finally see the last Dvornakov get their HEA. Zach is a cinnamon roll hero to love. He falls first, fast, and hard for Piper. Piper, who is type A personified, does her best to control every situation she is in and Zach is an outlier. His calm and steady presence c...

Book reviews for the week of November 26th to November 30th

It is hard to believe we are on the last day of November.  This year has flown by so fast!  Since Sunday, I have read two ARCs and listened to a holiday book novella by a new-to-me author. Both Samantha Young's and Sariah Wilson's books were set in Scotland.  If my family catches me with a slight Scottish accent, then this is why.  Piper Rayne next release also happens to be the last ARC I am scheduled to read for a 2023 release.  For the month of December, or at least the first half of it, I am going to be able to indulge my mood reader without deadlines.  I am looking at my TBR now to see where my reading will go.  I hope these reviews help you anticipate some new reads to add to your TBR.  As always, I wish you a week of happy endings. Among the Heather (The Highlands Series #2)  by Samantha Young ARC: Release Date- 12/05/2023 #EnemiesToLovers #RomanticSuspense #SmallTown #ARC 4 STARS The title of this book is absolutely perfect for this s...
