  Happy Monday! I was out of town for the weekend and I am excited to bring you these reviews today. I read five books this week. Two were ARCs, and three were from my TBR to fulfill reading challenges. "Bear the Consequences" returned me to Rochelle Paige and the next book in her Fated Mates series after I left off way too long ago at the end of book three. It met a reading challenge requirement for a shifter romance and was a quick and fun read. I read "Wyld & Dirty" by J.A. Low. It was my first book by her and I really enjoyed it. It checked three boxes for me: rockstar romance, author from the Southern Hemisphere (she is Australian), and a book by an author I get to meet in Las Vegas next weekend. I also read "King's Crown" my Marie Johnston.   Happy weekend!  This week I read one new release and four ARCs. I feel like I am getting back into the groove of where I like to be, and I am coming close to finishing ARCs for October release. It was a busy week and now I need to get some stuff done around the house that I have neglected. Take a look at the reviews and add these new and upcoming releases to your TBR.   Happy weekend.  I have been a little under the weather this weekend after getting some vaccinations on Friday. The good news is that let me read all day yesterday.  I read three ARCs this week. They were all excellent reads. I have considering some changes in my reading. In the past, I have had about a 50% arc ratio. More and more frequently, however, my ratio has been closer to 80%. The downside of this is that I don't get to read very many books on my TBR, and often mood reading isn't even a consideration. For example, I ended up with 13 ARCs scheduled for October. That leaves very little room for other books I want to read. After having this happen for several months, I know I need to make some changes. I am going to have to force myself to not sign up for very many PR reads in the future. I am also currently on too many ARC teams. Leaving some of them is a heart breaking decision. I wouldn't be on their team if I didn't love them. I am trying to narrow down my lis...

  October is here! This year has really flown by. In the last week of September I read three ARCs and one novella that has been on my TBR for a while. They were all amazing in their own way and you will not be disappointed to read them. There are seasons in life that seem full of loss. I got word this morning that a friend  is losing her husband soon after a recent diagnosis. I am heartbroken. Back in 2016, when I was losing my mom, is when I got back into romance reading after a break of more than a decade. Love of romance was something she instilled in me at an early age as she was a voracious reader. 2017 was a year full of unimaginable loss for me and my family, and romance was there to offer me an escape and hope that happy endings do exist. When I started my blog, it was primarily to help others find the books that can help them in that same way. It is also probably why I tend to lean toward lighter romance.   Hello. This past couple of weeks have been busy ones. I spent the past weekend in Seattle, Washington at the Rain City Author Event. It was put on by Southern Belles and I am happy to report that kinks that plagued Sweetgrass this spring were nowhere to be seen in Seattle. The venue was spacious and the lines were well controlled. The wristband process was seamless and I was able to see all of the authors and still had time to visit with friends. I was hopeful that would be the case and I am happy that it was.   September started, I blinked, and now it is the thirteenth of the month. Between traveling with the hubby to the Bronco Super Celebration in Buena Vista, Colorado (where we got to take our Bronco on some fun offroad trails) and working at the job, I can't believe the month is nearly half gone. I read four arcs and one book from a new-to-me author during the past two weeks. I cannot imagine a better reading start to any month EVER. I no longer include star ratings on my blog post, but rest assured: these five books all deserve more than five stars. I was able to continue three series that I already love with ARCs of three books that released this week. Emmett Noughton is not only a goof of a younger brother, he turned out to have depth I didn't expect in the newest addition to the Plain Daisy Ranch series. Warrick is 44 and retired wealthy when he returns home to assist his mom after his father passes. I absolutely loved this hero. He is kind, generous, protective, delicious, and absolutely everything. When he melted into a puddle for Em’s 5-year-old daughter, I knew my heart was a goner. The relationship he builds with little Georgia is really something special.
