Book reviews from the week of September 5th

I had an AMAZING- 5 Star reading week.  I read three ARCs, one book from my TBR, had one book from my TBR that I was able to read and listen to, and listened to one Audible novella.  Julie Capulet's new release (a murder mystery under J. Capulet) was outstanding and I could not put it down.  Smarty Pants , by Marika Ray, is a new adult romance gem that is uber-hot and funny.  Annie Dyer's Wedding Agreement had me falling hard for Noah and Imogen- romantic and hot.  Freya Barker has been on my list for a while and I picked up Keeping 6 , not realizing it is set in Durango, where I live.  I loved it and can't wait to read more.  Finally, I was able to listen to a cute and steamy novella by Helena Hunting featuring Jacob Morgan and Rose Dioro, who I will meet at Indies Invade Philly.   I am so excited for these upcoming book signings, and the excuse to read so many new-to-me authors in preparation for meeting them.  I am just explor...

Book reviews for the week of August 29th

Happy weekend!  I read one ARC this week and four books from my TBR for various reading challenges.  I am also continuing to read new-to-me authors for the upcoming book signings this fall.  B. Celeste is a new-to-me author and her new book was an journey in healing and trust.  I FINALLY read Landside by Kathryn Nolan, which has been on my TBR forever, and it was amazing.  I also read book by three authors who are planning to attend the Holidays with the Belles signing in Dallas later this month.  I have read Jenika Snow before, but her time travel romance took me on a steamy journey back to a Viking village for a quick and entertaining read.  Heather M. Orgeron's Pour Judgement was a fun read full of music star ego and skater chick snark.  I loved it and I am looking forward to reading more by her.  Andrea Johnston made me fall in love with her Military Men of Lexington.  I am still thinking about that book days later---so good!...

Book reviews from the week of August 22nd

What a fantastic week of reading I have had!  There are some truly memorable characters in this week's reads.  I was fortunate to read  four ARCs and two additional books.  I was impressed by Bella Matthews debut novel, which I picked up in preparation of attending Indies Invade Philly in November. She was a new-to me author. I am trying to read many of the authors participating in upcoming signings if I have not read them yet.  I also pulled Bad Prince from by Kindle library to meet the requirement of a story retelling for a book reading challenge.  This twist on Cinderella was really delightful.  Lauren Blakely's final installment of the Men of Summer series was full of the love and romance that make a real relationship work.  I adore Grant and Declan. JH Croix's new novel that starts a brand new series and carries all of the small town feels, hotshot firefighters, and a single dad doing his best with a teenage daughter. Stephanie Rose ou...
