Book reviews from the week of June 18th

Happy weekend.  I have just gotten back from a weekend camping trip with the hubby.  We didn't go far, but the getaway was necessary.  Since we were actually spending time doing other things, my reading was a little light this week.  Even so, I read two ARCs and a book from my TBR that has been on my kindle since it released. All three books were fantastic.  Piper Rayne's new book in their Lake Starlight series was even better than the first one.  Catherine Bybee is always a favorite.  Getting lost in her D'Angelo family for two books in a row was heaven.  I hope my reviews help you find your next favorite read.  Happy reading! The Issue With Bad Boy Roommates (Lake Starlight #2)  by Piper Rayne ARC: Release Date 06/27/2023 #OppositesAttract #SmallTown #ForcedProximity #HealingLove #ARC 5 STARS Book two in the Lake Starlight series can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA.   It is written in first person from an alte...

Author Spotlight: Twenty Questions With Emily Silver

Author Emily Silver has a new release in her Dixon Creek Ranch series today.  I felt like this would be the perfect opportunity to ask her some questions and give readers the opportunity to get to know her and her books better.  She kindly agreed and I am thrilled to have her as the first author in this new feature on my blog. You can get Yours To Hold free in Kindle Unlimited here:    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BWVDHLYM?ref_=dbs_m_mng_rwt_calw_tkin_1&storeType=ebooks Blurb: He’s my best friend’s older brother. I have no business having these feelings for him. But I do. I’ve had a crush on Mason Winchester for as long as I can remember. To him, I’ve never been anything more than a family friend. His little sister’s annoying friend. But what happens when he needs a nanny for his daughter for the summer? He calls me. That’s when things change. Suddenly there are feelings. Real feelings I shouldn’t be having. I’m only staying in this small town a few more ...

Book reviews for the week of June 11th

Happy Weekend! I read four ARCs this week.  I hope my reviews help you find your next favorite read.   This week was all about single dads, silver foxes, and discovering a life the characters always wanted but never thought they would have.  These were all excellent ARCs that made a wonderful week of reading for me.  Check out my reviews to add these new releases to your TBR.   Happy weekend!  I coming in a little early this week since I will be traveling this weekend.  I read two ARCs, one book from my TBR, and listened to one audiobook for a reading challenge.  It was a varied week for me and I really enjoyed the diverse approaches to romance in different sub-genres.  I still have a lot to do before we leave in the morning so I will wrap this up.  I hope my reviews help you find your next favorite read.   Happy weekend!  This week I read two ARCs and another book by Stacy Reid.  Forbidden Hearts was hot forbidden nanny romance with a serious side of swoon.  Who can't love the MFM romance of Double Pucked?  It is a hot and heartfelt romance. My Darling Duke was a complete delight.  It is how a Beauty and the Beast story should be written.  It was a fantastic week and i hope that readers find some new additions to their TBR from my reviews.  Happy reading.
