It was a busy, busy work week for me, but I managed to read three books to wrap up the month of June. I finally made my way back to Six Pack Ranch for the next book in the series after a much too long time away. Catherine Bybee's new release gave me a monumental book hangover. It is so good. I love Brooke's journey so much! Finally, I read a steamy novella by Fiona Davenport that gave me exactly what I needed. Three good books over a very long week. I hope you add them to your TBR.
Happy Reading!

Book two of the series can be read as a stand alone and ends with a HEA. It is written in third person.
I loved Beth and Daniel's love story. I adore the ranch and the small town. I love the healing Beth has as Daniel proves that there are good men out there. I really liked how Daniel was also dealing with his own insecurities. These two were a match made in six pack heaven. Together these two made each other better. There are a few light moments, some deep emotion, and lots of heat. There are also peeks into upcoming books that made me really want to devour the series.
Well-written, well-paced, with interesting and likable characters. This was a win.
CW: Heroine was in an abusive relationship with her husband (now deceased) and there are brief mentions of what happened during that relationship.

Written in third person, this book is the first book in a series, and is a standalone with a HEA.
At the beginning of the book, Brooke is living with her partner in Seattle, though I would not say she was happy. When she gets a call that her father is very ill in California, she goes to his side. Thus begins a chain of events that change Brooke's life forever. Along the way she meets, Luca, a hot Italian single dad to adorable Frannie.
There is a lot I could relate to with Brooke's relationship with her dad. Though hers is admittedly way more complicated than mine. Many of the conversations she has with her dad as she tries too make sure he is taken care of and she stays solvent were very familiar to me. I completely felt the honesty of the way Brooke is trying to hold her life together while being pulled in too many directions at once. It was honest, true, and her feelings were much like many of the feelings I have experienced caring for my parents over the last several years. It truly just resonated with me in a way that I haven't experienced in a while.
Luca is amazing. He is my book boyfriend, y'all. Mine. He is sensitive, protective, a little grumpy, and uber-hot. I adore the connection he and Brooke experience from the beginning. I love how he is as a father, a son, and a brother. I love that he recognizes that his relationship with Brooke is MORE and she is able to build a sweet, sweet relationship with Frannie that melted me. I really enjoyed the way he talks with Brooke's dad. I absolutely loved the heat between Luca and Brooke. There was no way they could stay apart.
This was undoubtedly my favorite read of the week, and I am certain it will be one of my top reads of the year. I 100% recommend you grab this book. It is free to read and listen in KU. You have no excuse not to fill your heart with this one.
CW: There are brief references to abuse the h experienced as a child.

Drew falls hard for Autumn the moment he sees her. She experiences instant attraction when they meet. Autumn decides to let go and live in the moment. After a hot weekend, she goes back to her life, which takes her around the world with the agreement that Drew will be waiting for her when her year is up.
This steamy romance with a hot alpha was exactly what I needed and I loved that Autumn could stand on her own without Drew if she needed to. This one has been on my kindle for a while and I was thrilled to finally get a chance to read it.
