Book reviews for books read August 18th-31st

I can't believe we are at the end of August! It has been a crazy busy month on the home-front, but I managed to read seven more books from the 18th through the 31st. (I am starting another book today, of course, but I won't finish before midnight.) Of those seven, four were ARCs and two were new-to-me authors. Two were also novella length reads.  The ARCs were phenomenal. You really should add them to your list. I also read Mel Walker for the first time. He has been on my list for a long time. Grounds for Romance was such a cute romance read! I read it in an afternoon and it gave me all the feels. Check out my reviews and add some books to your TBR. Here's hoping for more fantastic reads in September. Until then, happy reading! Hero After Midnight (Gibson Hollow #0.5) by Kait Nolan #Prequel #BrothersBestFriend Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this prequel to a new series does end in a mild cliffhanger. It establishes the history between Alia and R...

Book reviews for books read July 20th-31st

Another month down. This month I read a total of 18 books. That included several novellas and one box set that I counted as one. I read one ARC during this last stretch of the month by a new-to-me author. I also read three books off  my TBR. It has been a hectic month and my words are gone at the moment. So I will wish everyone a Happy August. Let's read some fantastic books. I can tell you now that I am going to continue to devour this ...

Book reviews for books read July 7th-19th

Happy weekend! My daughter visited for a week and I spent several days reading 6 novellas in the Berserkers Saga which was a perfect thing to read while she was here. I also finished the Tsenturion Warriors series finally. I love those big gold aliens. Be careful about swiping right for abduction, LOL. And I was able to read an ARC of Emily Silver's next release. This book was written as a special book for RARE London this year and will release in August. It was a thoroughly enjoyable start to a new series. I want to go back and finish the rest of the Berserker series and I am hoping to really get through some books on my TBR over the next couple months. Stay tuned for a lot of reviews as I do that. Until next time, happy reading. Not In the Plans (London Lightning #1) by Emily Silver ARC: Release Date-08/08/2025 #AgeGap #OneNightStand #OppositesAttract #Sports #Workplace #ARC She had him from “Hello”. Book reviews for books read July 1st-6th

This first week of July, I read two ARCs. Then I read a few novellas. I finished reading Swati M.H.'s backlist with Momcom Vacation. I read another Jess Bryant book on my list. I had forgotten how much I love male-male romance. Jess has reminded me beautifully.  Then I decided to have give in to my ADHD and read some stuff outside of my normal comfort zone. I kept seeing posts on social media about Unhinged. I was curious. When I looked and saw that it was in KU and only 80 pages, I decided to sate my curiosity and give it a try. You will see in my review that I as pleasantly surprised. I seriously admire the creativity necessary to make a door into a hero worth loving. Then I fell down a smutty rabbit hole. I have also been seeing a lot of hotwife and freeuse recs online. I had never read any, but I had picked up a few on the last Stuff Your Kindle day. They too were very short and I decided...why not? Though it's not something I would tackle in real life, I read a lot of t...

Book reviews for books read June 24th - 30th

June has been a crazy month. This last week I have been able to read an ARC, a book I had to pass on the ARC in April, two books from my TBR, and a reread of one of my favorites through read & listen. I honestly loved them all for different reasons.  One of the best things about romance is that there are so many sub-genres, tropes, and now micro tropes, that I never fail to find exactly what I need. This week I also read two new-to-me authors. One has been on my list for a while. The other was an impulse and a novella that came at the perfect time. Check out my reviews and add these to your list today. Until next time, happy reading. Somehow You Knew (Carrington Cove #5)  by Harlow James ARC: Release Date- 07/10/2025 #MoC #ForcedProximity #SmallTown #ARC I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book. Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. I can...
