  What Happened in Vegas by Mika Jolie  (ARC: Released October 8th) #ForcedProximity 4.5 STARS This novella is Chelsea’s story. We first met her in Paging Dr. Hook-Up as Sage’s friend. This book is written in first person from Chelsea’s POV and can be read as a standalone. Chelsea and Griff started out good in Vegas and then something happened that ended them before they really got started. The story of what happened that night unfolds over the course of this book. When they literally keep running into each other, the tension is high. When they get stuck in an elevator, they are able to move past Vegas into something so right. I thoroughly enjoyed this story with hot chemistry, a strong heroine and a guy who is not nearly as grumpy as he first appears. This book is part of the Love Trapped series collaboration and it definitely makes me want to read the other books in the series. This was a 5 STAR week for me. Jingle Balls Anthology by 20 authors  #Anthology #RomanticComedy 5 STARS Twenty authors contributed short stories that focus on raising money for the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation. Each story is tied to Testicular Cancer Awareness through Jingle Balls, Silent Auctions, survivor HEAs, and more. An excellent value and all for a great cause. Included is “Ball Sacked” by Christina Hovland. This short story ties into the Mile High Matched series and follows Anna Dvornakov. As the only girl in a family of rowdy brothers, Anna is attending the Juingle Balls Ball which is a fundraiser that includes a bachelor auction to raise money for the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation. Unfortunately, her ex-boyfriend is one of the bachelors being auctioned. Drake is a pro football player who is at the auction to try and win back the girl he lost.   Love at First Light (Lost Harbor, Alaska #6) by Jennifer Bernard #OppositesAttract 5 STARS Book 6 in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series tells the story of Ethan (a facts and common-sense grumpy PI) and Jessica (the fun, optimistic, crystal carrying bakery owner.) Their story is written in third person from dual POV. Ethan is not sure what to make of Jessica when they have their first awkward meeting, and he jumps to a few incorrect conclusions. It doesn’t take long for Jessica to start unraveling those incorrect conclusions one by one. The more time they spend together, the more Ethan must reevaluate not only his beliefs about her, but also his beliefs about himself. I thoroughly enjoyed this opposites-attract love story. There are moments that are funny, steamy, emotional, and suspenseful.
