  Happy weekend! I decided that since I hit 7 books this week I should just go ahead and push this out today. I will read at least one more today but you will see that review next week. I had a gap between ARCs! I went back and finished the Kings of Avalier series that I started in February 2024.  SO GOOD! They are new adult, which is not my norm, but the fantasy realm made them un-put-down-able. I am thrilled to meet the author in Phoenix in a couple of weeks. I read the next book in the J. Saman series I am making my way through. Those Abbot-Fritz brothers are something else. I adore that whole family. I read four novellas with 2 of those being new-to-me authors. Coco Miller's book was a fun billionaire read, and Regine Abel's Prime Mating Agency was GOLD. You will see in my review that I loved this first in series book, and I am super excited to read the rest of them. I read a wonderful mafia novella by Lee Savino.   Happy weekend! I read five books this week. All by authors I have read previously.  I have continued with the Arranged Monster Mates novella series, gone back to the beginning of the Howl's Edge Island series, and read one of Susie Tate's that has been on my TBR. I also read an ARC by Harlow James that was amazing and Lilian Harris' new release which kept me n the edge of my seat. My dad is doing much better and I get to fly home tonight and resume all of my regular life duties and responsibilities.  I look forward to the books I have planned for the next week.   Happy weekend and Happy 2025! I am starting the year strong. I have read 3 ARCs, 1 full-length novel, and 3 more novellas so far this year. The 3 ARCs were all fun reads, the next book in the Boston Billionaire Bachelors series was a fun ride, and the three monster novellas were still an enjoyable escape from reality.  I am traveling unexpectedly this month after my dad was hospitalized.  I will spend the next week in West Virginia helping my brother and helping my dad get some strength back before I return home. I am hopeful that means some dedicated reading time while I am here since there is no shortage of snow. Until next week, happy reading.  It is 2025! It feels like 2024 flew by.  This year's "best of" list is a little different.  In part this is due to time constraints and in part due to the fact that some trope categories have a LOT of excellent reads.  I just could not narrow them down to even eight for the graphics. I obviously have my favorite tropes, as this list will tell you. If you don't see a trope here on this list, it may be that I read one and it just wasn't quite a five star read for me. Most of the books I read are either four or five star reads. I have found what I like, and I tend to stick to it. You can search the labels on the main page of my blog or search in the general search bar to pull up books from another category and read my reviews. If a book is on this list, it was a five star read for me. That means I loved it, I found no major flaws in timeline, editing, or characters, and I would want to read it again.
