Book reviews for the week of November 20th

Happy weekend!  I hope everyone who celebrated Thanksgiving this week had too much food to eat and a wonderful time visiting with friends or family.  I made it home from visiting my dad in West Virginia and attending Indies Invade Philly last weekend just in time to bake pies and cook.  We had a wonderful day just being together after I was gone the last two weeks.  My youngest daughter (25) even had three of her friends join our dinner.  She tells me that we are the "cool" parents.  I don't know about that, but I do enjoy having a table full of people to celebrate the holidays. I have had Hannah McBride's Blackwater pack series on my list for over a year.  I added it last year before Indies Invade Philly because I knew I would meet her there.  Unfortunately, I did not get to them then.  I knew they were a series that I would want to binge right through because Remy and Skye don't get their HEA until book 3.  Readers who know me know that it is tough for me to c

This has been a good week of reading while traveling.  I am attending Indies Invade Philly today and have been trying to read attending authors I haven't read before.  I try to do this before every signing, but this has been by far my most successful attempt.  I have been able to read something, even if it was a short story in an anthology by all but four  attending authors.  I have a plan for those and hope to read them soon. After reading her books, I am excited to meet Lucia and discuss them with her.  I hope everyone has a wonderful week reading and never let your TBR run dry. Book reviews from the week of October 30th

This was a light reading week for me after a long weekend working a lot of hours.  I read two fantastic ARCs that will release this month.  Both authors will also be at Indies Invade Philly on November 19th and I am excited to see them. No one writes a slow burn like Kathryn Nolan.  Off the Mark is going to blow people away.  Chelle Sloan is releasing her next book in the Nashville Fury series and readers finally get to see Cole find his happily ever after.  He is 100% swoony and there are some seriously romantic moments in the book.  Add these two to your TBR today.  have a great week filled with wonderful books.  Happy reading! Off the Mark by Kathryn Nolan ARC: Release Date 11/11/2022 #FriendsToLovers #FakeRelationship #Sports #SlowBurn #ARC 5 STARS This is a standalone that shares characters with “On the Ropes” and ends with a HEA.  This hero, Rowan, is first introduced in that book as are many of the neighborhood characters that reappear in this book.  Readers may find the most
