Book reviews from the week of June 19th

Happy weekend!  I am getting my blog post finished at the very last minute this week.  I am truly surprised I was able to read four full length books and a novella with everything going on here this week.  My daughter decided it was time to get her own place.  She is moving to a small lakefront studio in the mountains of Colorado about 40 minutes away.  Her landlord agreed to let her paint before moving in.  As a mom with a lot of painting experience, I volunteered to help and ended up surprising her by spending three days painting while she was at work.  Her little decorator vision is coming to life and it is going to be a super cute space. That said, I read some amazing books this week.  Tal Bauer and Mariah Stone were both new to me authors.  "You & Me" is going to be a favorite reread of mine; I already know it.  I also read two ARCs.  Neither of those authors disappoint me with their small town romance and they delivered again.  You will want to grab them when they

Book reviews from the week of June 12th

Hello.  I hope everyone had a wonderful week.  I had a busy work week that I had not planned to have, leaving me with less reading time than I wanted.   I was still able to read two ARCs, including Lucy Score's next release.  Lucy is one of those authors that take me longer to read than normal.  I have never really pinned down why; may be I just savor her books more than most.  Readers are going to love "Maggie Moves On" when it releases next week.  You should certainly grab it when you get the chance.  Readers should know that it is a traditionally published book that will be available on all platforms and will not be available in Kindle Unlimited.   I also read an ARC of Lena Hendrix's latest.  She takes us back to Redemption Ranch for the Marriage-Of-Convenience story of Evan's brother, Parker, and his wife, Sienna.  I love the Redemption Ranch crew.  The premise of a working ranch with criminals in witness protection and federal agents working side by side i

Book reviews from the week of May 29th

Happy weekend! I started this week renting a U-Haul and loading my son's belongings into it to move him cross country.  Six days later, we have arrived, the U-Haul is unloaded and returned, and I feel like I can finally get back to normal.  Since I did all of the driving of the U-Haul truck, it severely impacted my reading time.  I was able to finish three ARCs just under the wire for each of their releases.  They were all very enjoyable reads despite my fatigue and muscle soreness.  While driving, I did get to go back and listen to the prequel and first book of Claire Kingsley's Dirty Martini Running Club series  though.  Thankfully, I couldn't convince my son to listen to the romance audiobook with me and I had to listen through an ear bud.  I say thankfully because I forgot how hot the books were and listening with my 26-year-old son would have been a little on the awkward side.  So we did our own thing on the drive, and that  worked out just fine. I can't say enou
