Book reviews from the week of March 27th

Hello fellow readers! This week's blog post is just a day early because I convinced the hubby to take a day off and we are going away this weekend.  I am so happy to have a little getaway, even though it is certain to impact my reading.   This week I read two ARCs. one prequel, and two books off my TBR.  It was wonderful to get back to another Kelsey Kingsley book-finally.  I also enjoyed my first Teagan Hunter book.  Marie James' ARC in the Blackbridge Security series gives Kit his HEA, and he has to work for it.  Kait Nolan begins a new series with her prequel and ARC that is a spin-off of the Misfit Inn series.  (I seriously need to attack her back list.) I hope my reviews help you decide if these books need to be added to your TBR.  I wish everyone a happy weekend and a wonderful week.  Happy Reading! 32 Rowan Blvd. by Kelsey Kingsley #SingleMom #SingleDad #FriendsTo Lovers #SmallTown 4.5 STARS This was only my second book by ...

Book reviews for the week of March 20th

This was a busy week for me but I was able to read one ARC and finish the audiobook I have been listening to.  I also was able to read two books from my TBR.  Growly alpha men and spunky women were the theme of my week, and it was amazing. I have completely fallen for the men of Reynold's Restoration and the women who love them.  Hayes and Begonia are incredible in audiobook form and and it was the perfect way for me to reread a new favorite while still reading other books.  My first Janice Whiteaker book was a treat.  I loved her cowboy world and I am dying to read more.  All in all I had a fantastic week of reading.  I hope you will find my reviews helpful in determining if they should be added to your TBR. Happy Reading! Cowboy Seeking Nanny (Cowboy Classifieds #1)  by Janice Whiteaker #Single Dad #SingleMom #Cowboy #SmallTown 5 STARS This is book one in the Cowboy Classified series and it can be red as a standalone. It is written in thi...

Book reviews from the week of March 13th

I had a fabulous week leading up to my birthday.  I read five ARCs and one book from my TBR that also met a reading challenge goal.  Of those, two were also new-to-me-authors. There are some amazing releases coming over the next few weeks.  Buckle up, get your cozy spot prepped, and call off work if you have to.  You are going to want to read and order food by delivery so you don't have to bother with anything else. My week was full of romantic suspense, sports romance, second chances, and friends who become more.  There was a lot of heat (maybe that is the true cause of my recent increase in hot flashes...hmmmm.) There were also great characters and plots that made books nearly impossible to put down.  Readers honestly cannot go wrong with any of these books.  I hope you find a new one to enjoy.  Happy reading! Heartbreak Hero (Redleg Security #1) by Jackie Walker ARC: Release Date- 03/23/2022 #RomanticSuspense #CurvyGirl #Bodyguard #AgeGa...

Book reviews for the week of March 6th

To say this was an incredible week of reading would be a massive understatement.  I read five ARCs and a bonus content novella to the Hockey Hotties series by Piper Rayne.  Speaking of Hockey Hotties: Warner and Imogen have a sweet and hot second chance tat forever in "Sneaking Around with #34."  Claire Kingsley released the sixth and final book in her Bailey Brothers series.  It was everything I could have wanted in a book and more.  I am so happy for her that it has been a wonderful release after the last year for her has been harder than I can imagine.  That she delivered a book full of hope, peace, and love after a year of grief and tragedy amazed me, made me cry, and leaves her talent unquestionable. Lena Hendrix has a new release which also begins a new series set on Redemption Ranch.  I loved the story of the cop and the criminal and the premise of a ranch run by agents for WITSEC. The Prequel ARC to Tawna Fenske's new Assassins in Love s...

Book reviews for the week of February 27th

This was a fantastic week.  I read three very different ARCs and finished the audiobook I have been working on for a while.  I had laughter, suspense, danger, and fun in my reading.  I hope my review can help you determine if these new releases are what you need in the upcoming week.  Happy reading! The Last Eligible Billionaire by Pippa Grant ARC: Release Date-03/03/2022 #Billionaire #GrumpyHero #OppositesAttract #FakeRelationship 5 STARS This is a new standalone by this author. This grumpy/sunshine romance is written in first person from an alternating dual POV and ends with a HEA. Hayes is attempting to hide from his life when he meets Begonia in an unexpected way.  There is a lot of humor in this book, as I expect from this author.  There is also a lot of heat.  Their fake relationship gets steamy and very real emotions form between them.  There are several memorable quotes in the book that I loved.  Begonia is a character th...
