Book reviews from the week of January 23rd

What a week! I read one ARC, where Marie James made me fall for the Irish Finn while he fell hard for a single mom. I read a book by K.C. Crowne, which met two different book challenge goals for January (Blue Collar Hero & Mountain Man).  Kellen was a sweet single-dad-by-surprise.  After that I had time to read SIX new to me authors that are attending the Music City with the Belles book signing in Nashville next month.  All I can say is WOW! I definitely have some new favorites. I am certain that Ripple Effect will be one of my top reads for this year already.  All of them were very good, and I cannot recommend them enough.  Now I just have to find time to read more books by those authors sometime because I definitely want to. There are a couple reviews with trigger warnings for those with sensitivities.  I hope my take on these help you decide if they are books you need to add to your TBR. Happy reading! Book Blog Tour: Josh and Gemma Make A Baby by Sarah Ready

When the baby-making ends will something else begin?   Josh and Gemma Make a Baby, an all new laugh-out-loud friends-to-lovers romantic comedy from bestselling author Sarah Ready is available now! New Year’s Resolution: Have a baby Preferably with Josh Lewenthal Meet Gemma Jacobs. She’s driven, energetic, and a positive thinker. She has a great career working for famed self-help guru Ian Fortune, she lives in a cute studio apartment in Manhattan, and her family is supportive and loving (albeit a little kooky). Her life is perfect. Absolutely wonderful. Except for one tiny little thing. After a decade of disastrous relationships and an infertility diagnosis, Gemma doesn’t want a Mr. Right (or even a Mr. Right Now), she just wants a baby. And all she needs is an egg, some sperm, and IVF. So Gemma makes a New Year’s resolution: have a baby. Josh Lewenthal is a laid back, relaxed, find-the-humor-in-life kind of guy. The polar opposite of Gemma. He’s also her brother’s best friend. For th

This week has been full of ARCs.  When they roll in, they all seem to come at once.  They cover family, action, sports, forbidden, and fantasy.  It was an amazing reading week with a lot of variety.  All of these books will be releasing within the next month and most of them within the next two weeks.  They are all worth adding to your TBR and are by authors that never fail to deliver stories that you won't want to put down.  I hope my reviews help you decide if you want to add them to your TBR.  I wish everyone a wonderful week.  Happy reading! Book reviews from the week of January 9th

This week was all about ARCs.  I read the prequel and the ARC of Lauren Blakely's new male/male romance written with Sarina Bowen and it was really, really good. I love a nerdy hero. My Carly Phillips ARC was the next installment in the Kingston Family series and it may be my favorite so far.  That says a lot because I have loved all of them. I read my forst novel by Sarah Ready by reading an ARC of her newest release and it is a well-written book that tackles a number of sensitive topics.  And finally, I read an ARC of the last book in Jessica Peterson's North Carolina Highlands series. She brought the heat I expect and the heart she always delivers.  This post is going up a little late due to some computer issues, but we are back on track now.  I hope you grab these as they release and I wish you a week of happy reading.
