Author Spotlight: Jackie Walker

I found Jackie after her first book was recommended in another author's newsletter.  Jackie's books are in Kindle Unlimited, so I grabbed it and read it right away.  And I laughed.  Her characters are full of sarcasm and fun humor.  The family dynamics of her characters are complete with mockery, hilarious text chains, and incredible love and support.  The Amos family of characters remind me so much of my family and the relationships I have with my siblings. I was hooked and I knew without a doubt I would be reading everything Jackie writes.  Her third book releases today and I wanted to focus my author spotlight on her in the hopes that other readers will find and enjoy her laugh-out-loud writing style.  I believe we will be hearing a lot more about Jackie in the future.   Without further delay, let me introduce you to Jackie Walker. About Jackie: The Official Bio One day during the COVID quarantine (a.k.a. the dark time), Jackie was ...

Book reviews from the week of April 18th

I read three ARCs this week and things slowed down enough that I was able to read a couple of books off by TBR as well.  I had a hilarious new rom-com from Jackie Walker.  Then I read the Thatcher Kelly Collection by Max Monroe.  I had read the first two books in the collection before, but I thoroughly enjoyed the reread.  The new novella in the collection is not to be missed.  I read my first book by Aly Martinez and I was blown away!  Her new book ran me through the gamut of emotions in only the best way.  Finally, I was able to read the first two books of the McCabe Brothers series by Julie Capulet which have been on my list for a while.  I continue to work on the backlists of my favorite authors, and as I have committed to fewer ARCs in the next few months, I hoping to really make some headway there during that time.  I am a lucky lady because I read five fabulous books this week that covered a range of tropes and emotions.  I...
